IMPACT OF CHEMICAL REACTION, SORET NUMBER AND HEAT SOURCE ON UNSTEADY MHD CASSON FLUID FLOW PAST VERTICAL SURFACE

    K.V. Chandra Sekhar*

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.19, pp. 1-8, 2022, DOI:10.5098/hmt.19.36

Abstract The current study explores heat and mass transfer analysis of unstable MHD boundary layer flow of electrically conducting Casson fluid near an infinite Perpendicular porous plate, moving with variable velocity. Mass diffusion equation was described by the homogenous first order chemical reaction. The equations controlling the flow converted into dimensionless form and solved by applying Laplace transform method and the expressions for velocity, temperature and concentration of the flow are acquired in exact form. To understand the physical insight of the problem a detailed study of involved parameters of the flow was done and explained More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 3383-3402, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029166 - 16 June 2022

Abstract This work aims to study the nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) system of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) past over an inclined plate using Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation neural networks (LMBNNs). The stochastic procedures LMBNNs are provided with three categories of sample statistics, testing, training, and verification. The nonlinear MHD system past over an inclined plate is divided into three profiles, dimensionless momentum, species (salinity), and energy (heat) conservations. The data is applied 15%, 10%, and 75% for validation, testing, and training to solve the nonlinear system of MHD past over an inclined plate. A reference data set is designed More >

SORET AND RADIATION EFFECTS ON AN UNSTEADY FLOW OF A CASSON FLUID THROUGH POROUS VERTICAL CHANNEL WITH EXPANSION AND CONTRACTION

    N. Vijayaa,*, Y. Hari Krishnaa , K. Kalyanib, G.V.R. Reddya

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.11, pp. 1-11, 2018, DOI:10.5098/hmt.11.19

Abstract The present paper deals with the thermo physical properties of a Casson fluid through an oscillating vertical wall embedded through porous medium under the influence transverse magnetic field, radiation, constant heat source and first order chemical reaction. The radiative heat loss is modelled by using Rosseland approximation. Similarity variables were used to convert the partial differential equations into ordinary differential equation. The transformed ordinary differential equations are solved numerically using Runge - Kutta -Fehlberg method with shooting technique. In order to get perfect perception of the flow pattern we obtain the graphs of axial velocity, More >

COMPUTATIONAL INVESTIGATION OF DOUBLE-DIFFUSIVE MIXED CONVECTIVE FLOW IN AN ENCLOSED SQUARE CAVITY WITH SORET EFFECT

    C. G. Mohan, A. Satheesh*

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.8, pp. 1-13, 2017, DOI:10.5098/hmt.8.36

Abstract In this study, a two-dimensional steady state double-diffusive mixed convective flow in a square cavity with Soret effect is presented. The numerical investigation is considered with two different conditions, (a) top and bottom walls move with same velocity (Uo) towards right and (b) top wall moves towards right and bottom wall moves towards left with the same velocity (Uo). The left and right walls remain stationary. The top and bottom walls are adiabatic; the left wall is maintained at high temperature and concentration. The right wall is maintained at low temperature and concentration. Governing equations More >
