Dynamic Hypergraph Modeling and Robustness Analysis for SIoT

Yue Wan, Nan Jiang*, Ziyu Liu

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.140, No.3, pp. 3017-3034, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.051101

Abstract The Social Internet of Things (SIoT) integrates the Internet of Things (IoT) and social networks, taking into account the social attributes of objects and diversifying the relationship between humans and objects, which overcomes the limitations of the IoT’s focus on associations between objects. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is rapidly evolving. It is critical to build trustworthy and transparent systems, especially with system security issues coming to the surface. This paper emphasizes the social attributes of objects and uses hypergraphs to model the diverse entities and relationships in SIoT, aiming to build an SIoT hypergraph generation… More >

Enhancing Data Forwarding Efficiency in SIoT with Multidimensional Social Relations

    Fang Xu1,2,3, Songhao Jiang1,2, Yi Ma1,2,3,*, Manzoor Ahmed1,3,*, Zenggang Xiong1,2,3, Yuanlin Lyu1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.78, No.1, pp. 1095-1113, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.046577

Abstract Effective data communication is a crucial aspect of the Social Internet of Things (SIoT) and continues to be a significant research focus. This paper proposes a data forwarding algorithm based on Multidimensional Social Relations (MSRR) in SIoT to solve this problem. The proposed algorithm separates message forwarding into intra- and cross-community forwarding by analyzing interest traits and social connections among nodes. Three new metrics are defined: the intensity of node social relationships, node activity, and community connectivity. Within the community, messages are sent by determining which node is most similar to the sender by weighing More >

A Query-Based Greedy Approach for Authentic Influencer Discovery in SIoT

    Farah Batool1, Abdul Rehman2, Dongsun Kim2,*, Assad Abbas1, Raheel Nawaz3, Tahir Mustafa Madni1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.3, pp. 6535-6553, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.033832

Abstract The authors propose an informed search greedy approach that efficiently identifies the influencer nodes in the social Internet of Things with the ability to provide legitimate information. Primarily, the proposed approach minimizes the network size and eliminates undesirable connections. For that, the proposed approach ranks each of the nodes and prioritizes them to identify an authentic influencer. Therefore, the proposed approach discards the nodes having a rank (α) lesser than 0.5 to reduce the network complexity. α is the variable value represents the rank of each node that varies between 0 to 1. Node with… More >

COVID-19 Outbreak Prediction by Using Machine Learning Algorithms

    Tahir Sher1, Abdul Rehman2, Dongsun Kim2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 1561-1574, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.032020

Abstract COVID-19 is a contagious disease and its several variants put under stress in all walks of life and economy as well. Early diagnosis of the virus is a crucial task to prevent the spread of the virus as it is a threat to life in the whole world. However, with the advancement of technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) and social IoT (SIoT), the versatile data produced by smart devices helped a lot in overcoming this lethal disease. Data mining is a technique that could be used for extracting useful information from massive data. In… More >

Adapter le Drainage Lymphatique Manuel pour le Lymphœdème du Membre Supérieur: Point de vue de Cliniciens

    Jean-Claude Ferrandez1,*, Pierre-Henri Ganchou2, Serge Theys3, Maria Torres-Lacomba4, Daniel Serin1

    Oncologie, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 25-33, 2022, DOI:10.32604/oncologie.2022.018110

More >

Optimal Data Placement and Replication Approach for SIoT with Edge

    B. Prabhu Shankar1,*, S. Chitra2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.2, pp. 661-676, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.019507

Abstract Social networks (SNs) are sources with extreme number of users around the world who are all sharing data like images, audio, and video to their friends using IoT devices. This concept is the so-called Social Internet of Things (SIot). The evolving nature of edge-cloud computing has enabled storage of a large volume of data from various sources, and this task demands an efficient storage procedure. For this kind of large volume of data storage, the usage of data replication using edge with geo-distributed cloud service area is suited to fulfill the user’s expectations with low… More >

Development of a Multi-feature Web-based Physiotherapy Service System

    Sadman Ahmed1, Mohammad Monirujjaman Khan1,*, Roobaea Alroobaea2, Mehedi Masud2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.29, No.1, pp. 43-54, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.015914

Abstract Physiotherapy is important to people with arthritis, and physiotherapists help them to resume or continue active, independent lives at home and work. Physiotherapy addresses many pain categories; however, this important treatment is still overlooked in Bangladesh, where many people suffer from physical pain. This study presents a multi-feature web-based physiotherapy application. A user can register as a doctor or patient via email or phone using the web application. A therapist’s information is verified manually by a system administrator. Using the application, patients can select a variety of features for treatment. Patients can watch physiotherapy video More >
