    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.141, No.2, pp. 1347-1363, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.053916 - 27 September 2024

Abstract This study intends to examine the analytical solutions to the resulting one-dimensional differential equation of a cancer tumor model in the frame of time-fractional order with the Caputo-fractional operator employing a highly efficient methodology called the -homotopy analysis transform method. So, the preferred approach effectively found the analytic series solution of the proposed model. The procured outcomes of the present framework demonstrated that this method is authentic for obtaining solutions to a time-fractional-order cancer model. The results achieved graphically specify that the concerned paradigm is dependent on arbitrary order and parameters and also disclose the More >

PCATNet: Position-Class Awareness Transformer for Image Captioning

    Ziwei Tang1, Yaohua Yi2,*, Changhui Yu2, Aiguo Yin3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.3, pp. 6007-6022, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037861 - 29 April 2023

Abstract Existing image captioning models usually build the relation between visual information and words to generate captions, which lack spatial information and object classes. To address the issue, we propose a novel Position-Class Awareness Transformer (PCAT) network which can serve as a bridge between the visual features and captions by embedding spatial information and awareness of object classes. In our proposal, we construct our PCAT network by proposing a novel Grid Mapping Position Encoding (GMPE) method and refining the encoder-decoder framework. First, GMPE includes mapping the regions of objects to grids, calculating the relative distance among… More >

A Double-Ended Protection Principle for an LCC-VSC-MTDC System with Strong Anti-Interference Ability

Chuanjian Wu, Dahai Zhang*, Jinghan He

    Energy Engineering, Vol.120, No.2, pp. 299-316, 2023, DOI:10.32604/ee.2023.023532 - 29 November 2022

Abstract The DC grid technology of multi-power supply and multi-drop-point power reception is an effective solution for large-scale renewable energy integration into the power grid. Line-commutated converter-Voltage source converter (LCC-VSC) power grids are one of the more important developmental directions of the future power grid that have occured in recent years. But the multi-terminal high voltage direct current system has the problems of inconsistent boundary characteristics, inconsistent control, and fault response characteristics, which puts higher requirements on the protection scheme. Thus, a completely new protection principle is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the fault characteristics of… More >

    Yulu Chen1, Fen Zhang1, Ju Cai1, Yichen Zhao1,2, Jiaxue Cui1, Yan Li1,*

    Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.5, pp. 999-1013, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.018984 - 24 January 2022

Abstract Gibberellic acid controlled the key developmental processes of the life cycle of landing plants, and regulated the growth and development of plants. In this study, a novel gibberellin receptor gene EuGID1 was obtained from Eucommia ulmoides Oliver. The cDNA of EuGID1 was 1556 bp, and the open reading frame was 1029 bp, which encoded 343 amino acids. EuGID1 had the homology sequence with the hormone-sensitive lipase family. Amino acid sequence alignment confirmed EuGID1 protein had the highest homology with the GID1 protein of Manihot esculenta. EuGID1 was located in the nucleus and cell membrane and had expression in four plant More >

Sales Prediction and Product Recommendation Model Through User Behavior Analytics

    Xian Zhao, Pantea Keikhosrokiani*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.70, No.2, pp. 3855-3874, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019750 - 27 September 2021

Abstract The COVID-19 has brought us unprecedented difficulties and thousands of companies have closed down. The general public has responded to call of the government to stay at home. Offline retail stores have been severely affected. Therefore, in order to transform a traditional offline sales model to the B2C model and to improve the shopping experience, this study aims to utilize historical sales data for exploring, building sales prediction and recommendation models. A novel data science life-cycle and process model with Recency, Frequency, and Monetary (RFM) analysis method with the combination of various analytics algorithms are… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.127, No.3, pp. 1013-1036, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.014988 - 24 May 2021

Abstract In this paper, we analyze the behaviour of solution for the system exemplifying model of tumour invasion and metastasis by the help of q-homotopy analysis transform method (q-HATM) with the fractional operator. The analyzed model consists of a system of three nonlinear differential equations elucidating the activation and the migratory response of the degradation of the matrix, tumour cells and production of degradative enzymes by the tumour cells. The considered method is graceful amalgamations of q-homotopy analysis technique with Laplace transform (LT), and Caputo–Fabrizio (CF) fractional operator is hired in the present study. Modeling Analysis for Positioning Error of Mobile Lidar Based on MultiBody System Kinematics

    Cang Peng1, Yu Zhenglin2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.4, pp. 827-835, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000086

Abstract The assembly error of the supporting component in Mobile Lidar has an inevitable influence on the positioning accuracy and the system error. In this paper, we applied the multi-body system kinematics principle and the homogeneous coordinate transformation to infer the final pointing error formula which influences the three-axis error model of the Mobile Lidar. The influence of each error item on the positioning accuracy (pointing accuracy) of radar system is analyzed by computer simulation, and the motion law between each axis of radar supporting component is discussed, which has laid the base for researching the More >

Numerical and Experimental Investigation of Heterogeneous Transformation Behaviour in Shape Memory Alloys

Bashir S. Shariat*, Sam Bakhtiari, Hong Yang, Yinong Liu

The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, Vol.21, No.1, pp. 21-21, 2019, DOI:10.32604/icces.2019.05559

Abstract Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are a unique collection of materials which can return to their initial configuration after being largely deformed. Near-equiatomic NiTi is the most widely used SMA due to its excellent shape memory properties and fabricability. One exceptional property of this alloy is superelasticity, which refers to the ability of the alloy to accommodate relatively large deformation typically up to 8% of tensile strain and return to the original undeformed shape upon unloading. As a result of this outstanding feature, superelastic NiTi have been increasingly used in different areas of engineering, such as… More >

The Influence of Supervisor’s Transformational Leadership and Followers’ Occupational Well-Being: A Dual Pathway Model from a Conservation of Resources Theory

Yanmin Zhao, Baoguo Xie*, Wenyuan Jin

    International Journal of Mental Health Promotion, Vol.20, No.1, pp. 15-26, 2018, DOI:10.32604/IJMHP.2018.010747

Abstract Occupational well-being is optimal psychological functioning and experience in the workplace. This study examined the role of opportunities for career development as a mechanism that links supervisor’s transformational leadership and subordinates’ occupational well-being manifested by work engagement. Specifically, drawing on conservation of resources theory (COR), we developed a dual pathway model in which opportunities for promotion and for professional development were posited as two important mediators in the relationship between transformational leadership and work engagement. The hypotheses were tested with a sample of 215 Chinese civil servants. The results of structural equation modeling showed that More >
