    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.80, No.3, pp. 3523-3553, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.055125 - 12 September 2024

Abstract The UAV pursuit-evasion problem focuses on the efficient tracking and capture of evading targets using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which is pivotal in public safety applications, particularly in scenarios involving intrusion monitoring and interception. To address the challenges of data acquisition, real-world deployment, and the limited intelligence of existing algorithms in UAV pursuit-evasion tasks, we propose an innovative swarm intelligence-based UAV pursuit-evasion control framework, namely “Boids Model-based DRL Approach for Pursuit and Escape” (Boids-PE), which synergizes the strengths of swarm intelligence from bio-inspired algorithms and deep reinforcement learning (DRL). The Boids model, which simulates collective… More >

    Amr Mansour1, Noha M. Gamal2,*, Alaa M. Nady3, Amr Ibraheem3, Dalia M. Salah4, Khaled M. El-Maghraby2

    Congenital Heart Disease, Vol.18, No.6, pp. 679-691, 2023, DOI:10.32604/chd.2023.020028 - 19 January 2024

Abstract Background: Closure of an atrial septal defect (ASD) reduces right-side heart volumes by abolishing shunting with simultaneous improvement of the left ventricle (LV) filling and functions due to ventricular interdependence, thereby improving symptoms. Furthermore, studies conducted on atrial volume changes after ASD closure are limited. Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) is considered as the gold standard method for measuring cardiac volume and mass. Objective: We aimed to study the effect of transcatheter and surgical closure of secundum ASD on cardiac volumes and systolic functions as well as the fate of tricuspid regurgitation (TR), using CMR analysis. Abstract Sentiment analysis (SA) of the Arabic language becomes important despite scarce annotated corpora and confined sources. Arabic affect Analysis has become an active research zone nowadays. But still, the Arabic language lags behind adequate language sources for enabling the SA tasks. Thus, Arabic still faces challenges in natural language processing (NLP) tasks because of its structure complexities, history, and distinct cultures. It has gained lesser effort than the other languages. This paper developed a Multi-versus Optimization with Deep Reinforcement Learning Enabled Affect Analysis (MVODRL-AA) on Arabic Corpus. The presented MVODRL-AA model majorly concentrates on identifying… More >

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.17, No.5, pp. 383-405, 2023, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2023.026885 - 07 September 2023

Abstract With the development of multi-signal monitoring technology, the research on multiple signal analysis and processing has become a hot subject. Mechanical equipment often works under variable working conditions, and the acquired vibration signals are often non-stationary and nonlinear, which are difficult to be processed by traditional analysis methods. In order to solve the noise reduction problem of multiple signals under variable speed, a COT-DCS method combining the Computed Order Tracking (COT) based on Chirplet Path Pursuit (CPP) and Distributed Compressed Sensing (DCS) is proposed. Firstly, the instantaneous frequency (IF) is extracted by CPP, and the… More > Graphic Abstract

Abstract At present, the traditional channel estimation algorithms have the disadvantages of over-reliance on initial conditions and high complexity. The bacterial foraging optimization (BFO)-based algorithm has been applied in wireless communication and signal processing because of its simple operation and strong self-organization ability. But the BFO-based algorithm is easy to fall into local optimum. Therefore, this paper proposes the quantum bacterial foraging optimization (QBFO)-binary orthogonal matching pursuit (BOMP) channel estimation algorithm to the problem of local optimization. Firstly, the binary matrix is constructed according to whether atoms are selected or not. And the support set of… More >
