URLLC Service in UAV Rate-Splitting Multiple Access: Adapting Deep Learning Techniques for Wireless Network

    Reem Alkanhel1,#, Abuzar B. M. Adam2,#, Samia Allaoua Chelloug1, Dina S. M. Hassan1,*, Mohammed Saleh Ali Muthanna3, Ammar Muthanna4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.84, No.1, pp. 607-624, 2025, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2025.063206 - 09 June 2025

Abstract The 3GPP standard defines the requirements for next-generation wireless networks, with particular attention to Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communications (URLLC), critical for applications such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). In this context, Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) has emerged as a promising technique to improve spectrum efficiency and user fairness by allowing multiple users to share the same frequency resources. However, optimizing key parameters–such as beamforming, rate allocation, and UAV trajectory–presents significant challenges due to the nonconvex nature of the problem, especially under stringent URLLC constraints. This paper proposes an advanced deep learning-driven approach to address the resulting… More >

Cooperative Rate Splitting Transmit Design for Full-Duplex-Enabled Multiple Multicast Communication Systems

    Siyi Duan1, Mingsheng Wei1,*, Shidang Li1,*, Weiqiang Tan2, Bencheng Yu3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.1, pp. 619-638, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.029572 - 22 September 2023

Abstract This paper examines the performance of Full-Duplex Cooperative Rate Splitting (FD-CRS) with Simultaneous Wireless Information and Power Transfer (SWIPT) support in Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) networks. In a Rate Splitting Multiple Access (RSMA) multicast system with two local users and one remote user, the common data stream contains the needs of all users, and all users can decode the common data stream. Therefore, each user can receive some information that other users need, and local users with better channel conditions can use this information to further enhance the reception reliability and data rate of… More >

Using a Software-Defined Air Interface Algorithm to Improve Service Quality

    Madiraju Sirisha1,*, P. Abdul Khayum2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.2, pp. 1627-1641, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.025980 - 19 July 2022

Abstract In the digital era, the Narrowband Internet of Things (Nb-IoT) influences the massive Machine-Type-Communication (mMTC) features to establish secure routing among the 5G/6G mobile networks. It supports global coverage to the low-cost IoT devices distributed in terrestrial networks. Its key traffic characteristics include robust uplink, moderate data rate/device, extremely high energy efficiency, prolonging device lifetime, and Quality of Service (QoS). This paper proposes a Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) combined software-defined air interface algorithm applied on the switching system, satisfying the user requirement and enabling them with the network resources to extend quality of service by More >
