Weighted PageRank Algorithm Search Engine Ranking Model for Web Pages

    S. Samsudeen Shaffi1,*, I. Muthulakshmi2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.1, pp. 183-192, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.031494 - 29 September 2022

Abstract As data grows in size, search engines face new challenges in extracting more relevant content for users’ searches. As a result, a number of retrieval and ranking algorithms have been employed to ensure that the results are relevant to the user’s requirements. Unfortunately, most existing indexes and ranking algorithms crawl documents and web pages based on a limited set of criteria designed to meet user expectations, making it impossible to deliver exceptionally accurate results. As a result, this study investigates and analyses how search engines work, as well as the elements that contribute to higher… More >

Improved Key Node Recognition Method of Social Network Based on PageRank Algorithm

    Lei Hong1, Yiji Qian1,*, Chaofan Gong2, Yurui Zhang1, Xin Zhou3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.74, No.1, pp. 1887-1903, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.029180 - 22 September 2022

Abstract The types and functions of social networking sites are becoming more abundant with the prevalence of self-media culture, and the number of daily active users of social networking sites represented by Weibo and Zhihu continues to expand. There are key node users in social networks. Compared with ordinary users, their influence is greater, their radiation range is wider, and their information transmission capabilities are better. The key node users playimportant roles in public opinion monitoring and hot event prediction when evaluating the criticality of nodes in social networking sites. In order to solve the problems… More >

Improved Short-video User Impact Assessment Method Based on PageRank Algorithm

    Lei Hong1,*, Jie Yin1, Ling-Ling Xia1, Chao-Fan Gong1, Qi Huang2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.29, No.2, pp. 437-449, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.016259 - 16 June 2021

Abstract The short-video platform is a social network where users’ content accelerates the speed of information dissemination. Hence, it is necessary to identify important users to effectively obtain information. Four algorithms (Followers Rank, Average Forwarding, K Coverage, and Expert Survey and Evaluation) have been proposed to calculate users’ influence and determine their importance. These methods simply take the number of a user’s fans or posts as the standard of influence evaluation, ignoring factors such as the paid posters, which makes such evaluations inaccurate. To solve these problems, we propose the short-video user influence rank (SVUIR) algorithm, More >
