    Meenakshi Aggarwal1, Vikas Khullar1, Sunita Rani2, Thomas André Prola3,4,5, Shyama Barna Bhattacharjee6, Sarowar Morshed Shawon7, Nitin Goyal8,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.79, No.2, pp. 1795-1834, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.049846 - 15 May 2024

Abstract The proliferation of IoT devices requires innovative approaches to gaining insights while preserving privacy and resources amid unprecedented data generation. However, FL development for IoT is still in its infancy and needs to be explored in various areas to understand the key challenges for deployment in real-world scenarios. The paper systematically reviewed the available literature using the PRISMA guiding principle. The study aims to provide a detailed overview of the increasing use of FL in IoT networks, including the architecture and challenges. A systematic review approach is used to collect, categorize and analyze FL-IoT-based articles.… More >

Abstract The study aimed to analyze the reporting and methodological quality of systematic reviews (SRs)/metaanalyses (MAs) of animal models to provide references for later studies and avoid the waste of medical resources. EMBASE and MEDLINE databases were searched from inception to November 2017, with no language restriction. Two reviewers selected inclusion dependently and extracted the basic characteristics. Review Manager 5.3, stata 12.0, and SPSS 21 software were used to conduct analyses. A total of 46 SRs/MAs were included. The results showed that the English databases with high retrieval frequency are PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Web of Science.… More >

Elasto-Plastic Analysis of Structural Problems Using Atomic Basis Functions

    V. Kozulić1, B. Gotovac1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.80, No.3&4, pp. 251-274, 2011, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2011.080.251

Abstract The numerical model for the elasto-plastic analysis of prismatic bars subjected to torsion is developed. The functions implemented in this model are Fup basis functions which belong to the class of atomic functions. The collocation method is used to form a system of equations in which the differential equation of the problem is satisfied in collocation points of closed domain, while boundary conditions are satisfied exactly at the domain boundary. The propagation of plastic zones in the cross-section is monitored by applying the incremental-iterative procedure until failure. An approximate solution of arbitrary accuracy is attained More >
