Effect of Thermoelectric Cooler Arrangements on Thermal Performance and Energy Saving in Electronic Applications: An Experimental Study

    M. N. Abd-Al Ameer, Iman S. Kareem, Ali A. Ismaeel*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.123, No.1, 2026, DOI:10.32604/ee.2025.073437 - 27 December 2025

Abstract Electrical and electronic devices face significant challenges in heat management due to their compact size and high heat flux, which negatively impact performance and reliability. Conventional cooling methods, such as forced air cooling, often struggle to transfer heat efficiently. In contrast, thermoelectric coolers (TECs) provide an innovative active cooling solution to meet growing thermal management demands. In this research, a refrigerant based on mono ethylene glycol and distilled water was used instead of using gases, in addition to using thermoelectric cooling units instead of using a compressor in traditional refrigeration systems. This study evaluates the… More > Graphic Abstract

    Prasongsuk Songsree*, Chaiyapon Thongchaisuratkrul*

    Energy Engineering, Vol.122, No.11, pp. 4541-4559, 2025, DOI:10.32604/ee.2025.068448 - 27 October 2025

Abstract The purpose of this research is to design and develop a demonstration Set of a water cooling system using a Peltier with solar energy and technology, and IoT (Internet of Things), and test and measure the performance of the Peltier Plate Water Cooling System Demonstration Set under different environmental conditions. To be used as a model for clean energy systems and experimental learning materials. The prototype system consists of a 100-W solar panel, a 12 V 20 Ah battery, a Peltier plate, a DS18B20 sensor, and a NodeMCU microcontroller. The system performance is determined by… More >

Improving the Performance of Thermoelectric Systems for Air Conditioning Using Different Configurations

Hind Abdulrahman Mahmood, Ameer Abed Jaddoa*, Mohammed K. Al-Saadi

    Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.23, No.4, pp. 1281-1302, 2025, DOI:10.32604/fhmt.2025.066075 - 29 August 2025

Abstract Thermoelectric air conditioning systems based on the Peltier effect had two modes: heating and cooling. In this work, the proposed design provides continuous improvement in COP from the first minute of operation. In cooling mode, the coefficient of performance (COP) was 1.176 due to the techniques used in this device, and it increased to 1.24 in the last minute of operation. Concerning the steady-state scenario, from the first minute, the Qc was larger than the W for the entire duration of the operation. The output temperature reaches 18.97°C, and the temperature on the cold side reaches… More >

Adaptive Cloud Intrusion Detection System Based on Pruned Exact Linear Time Technique

Widad Elbakri1, Maheyzah Md. Siraj1,*, Bander Ali Saleh Al-rimy1, Sultan Noman Qasem2, Tawfik Al-Hadhrami3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.79, No.3, pp. 3725-3756, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.048105 - 20 June 2024

Abstract Cloud computing environments, characterized by dynamic scaling, distributed architectures, and complex workloads, are increasingly targeted by malicious actors. These threats encompass unauthorized access, data breaches, denial-of-service attacks, and evolving malware variants. Traditional security solutions often struggle with the dynamic nature of cloud environments, highlighting the need for robust Adaptive Cloud Intrusion Detection Systems (CIDS). Existing adaptive CIDS solutions, while offering improved detection capabilities, often face limitations such as reliance on approximations for change point detection, hindering their precision in identifying anomalies. This can lead to missed attacks or an abundance of false alarms, impacting overall… More >

    M. K. Shilpa1, Md Abdul Raheman2, Abdul Aabid3,*, Muneer Baig3, R. K. Veeresha4, Nagesh Kudva4

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.1, pp. 187-206, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2022.020351 - 02 August 2022

Abstract Conventional refrigeration processes release ammonia and freon into the atmosphere, which results in global warming. These problems may be overcome by using thermoelectric modules because of the absence of coolants or refrigerants in these systems. However, the cooling performances of such modules are relatively small in comparison to those of conventional refrigerators. In this paper, the working principles of thermoelectric modules are discussed together with a review of different relevant aspects, namely: the thermoelectric materials, and their mechanical properties used to build thermoelectric devices, different types of thermoelectric devices available on the market, mathematical modeling More >
