Classification of Brain Tumors Using Hybrid Feature Extraction Based on Modified Deep Learning Techniques

    Tawfeeq Shawly1, Ahmed Alsheikhy2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.77, No.1, pp. 425-443, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.040561

Abstract According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Brain Tumors (BrT) have a high rate of mortality across the world. The mortality rate, however, decreases with early diagnosis. Brain images, Computed Tomography (CT) scans, Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans (MRIs), segmentation, analysis, and evaluation make up the critical tools and steps used to diagnose brain cancer in its early stages. For physicians, diagnosis can be challenging and time-consuming, especially for those with little expertise. As technology advances, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been used in various domains as a diagnostic tool and offers promising outcomes. Deep-learning techniques are especially useful and have achieved… More >

Abstract IOT has carried out important function in converting the traditional fitness care corporation. With developing call for in population, traditional healthcare structures have reached their outmost functionality in presenting sufficient and as plenty as mark offerings. The worldwide is handling devastating developing antique population disaster and the right want for assisted-dwelling environments is turning into inevitable for senior citizens. There furthermore a determination by means of the use of way of countrywide healthcare organizations to increase crucial manual for individualized, right blanketed care to prevent and manipulate excessive coronial situations. A Perfect Knob to Scale Thread Pool on Runtime

    Faisal Bahadur1,*, Arif Iqbal Umar1, Insaf Ullah2, Fahad Algarni3, Muhammad Asghar Khan2, Samih M. Mostafa4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.1, pp. 1483-1493, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.024936

Abstract Scalability is one of the utmost nonfunctional requirement of server applications, because it maintains an effective performance parallel to the large fluctuating and sometimes unpredictable workload. In order to achieve scalability, thread pool system (TPS) has been used extensively as a middleware service in server applications. The size of thread pool is the most significant factor, that affects the overall performance of servers. Determining the optimal size of thread pool dynamically on runtime is a challenging problem. The most widely used and simple method to tackle this problem is to keep the size of thread pool equal to the request… More >

Interactive Middleware Services for Heterogeneous Systems

Vasanthi Raghupathy1,*, Osamah Ibrahim Khalaf2, Carlos Andrés Tavera Romero3, Sudhakar Sengan4, Dilip Kumar Sharma5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.41, No.3, pp. 1241-1253, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.021997

Abstract Computing has become more invisible, widespread and ubiquitous since the inception of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Web of Things. Multiple devices that surround us meet user’s requirements everywhere. Multiple Middleware Framework (MF) designs have come into existence because of the rapid development of interactive services in Heterogeneous Systems. This resulted in the delivery of interactive services throughout Heterogeneous Environments (HE). Users are given free navigation between devices in a widespread environment and continuously interact with each other from any chosen device. Numerous interactive devices with recent interactive platforms (for example, Smart Phones, Mobile Phones, Personal Computer (PC) and… More >

A Middleware for Polyglot Persistence and Data Portability of Big Data PaaS Cloud Applications

    Kiranbir Kaur1, *, Sandeep Sharma1, Karanjeet Singh Kahlon2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.65, No.2, pp. 1625-1647, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2020.011535

Abstract Vendor lock-in can occur at any layer of the cloud stack-Infrastructure, Platform, and Software-as-a-service. This paper covers the vendor lock-in issue at Platform as a Service (PaaS) level where applications can be created, deployed, and managed without worrying about the underlying infrastructure. These applications and their persisted data on one PaaS provider are not easy to port to another provider. To overcome this issue, we propose a middleware to abstract and make the database services as cloud-agnostic. The middleware supports several SQL and NoSQL data stores that can be hosted and ported among disparate PaaS providers. It facilitates the developers… More >

Middleware for Internet of Things: Survey and Challenges

Samia Allaoua Chellouga, Mohamed A. El-Zawawyb,c

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.2, pp. 309-318, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2017.1290328

Abstract The Internet of things (IoT) applications span many potential fields. Furthermore, smart homes, smart cities, smart vehicular networks, and healthcare are very attractive and intelligent applications. In most of these applications, the system consists of smart objects that are equipped by sensors and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and may rely on other technological computing and paradigm solutions such as M2 M (machine to machine) computing, Wifi, Wimax, LTE, cloud computing, etc. Thus, the IoT vision foresees that we can shift from traditional sensor networks to pervasive systems, which deliver intelligent automation by running services on objects. Actually, a significant attention has… More >
