Behaviour of self excited synchronous generator loaded by different sizing induction motors

Nashwa Mohamed Mounir1, Fathy E. Said, Mohamed Enany

    Revista Internacional de Métodos Numéricos para Cálculo y Diseño en Ingeniería, Vol.39, No.2, pp. 1-8, 2023, DOI:10.23967/j.rimni.2023.05.003 - 22 May 2023

Abstract The modeling of both the synchronous generator and induction motor which is represented by the rotor reference frame was studied where the modeling was established using MATLAB /SIMULINK software package for an isolated synchronous generator direct-on-line with different sized induction motors; 20, 50, and 100 Hp, at manually adjusted excitation voltage values which were maintained constant at 3.35, 4.55, and 6.21 V, respectively. The purpose of this work is to study the impact of a sudden increase in the load torque; from 0 to 150 % with an increase of 25 %, of full load… More >

Study of dynamic simulators with ADAMS and Matlab/Simulink for control systems

    César Chávez-Olivares1, Eduardo Rubio1, Cesar Guzmán1

    Revista Internacional de Métodos Numéricos para Cálculo y Diseño en Ingeniería, Vol.38, No.2, pp. 1-18, 2022, DOI:10.23967/j.rimni.2022.04.001 - 07 April 2022

Abstract ADAMS-MATLAB co-simulation is widely used in complex system development to control models of closed-loop mechanisms. An advantage of ADAMS is to facilitate the configuration of parameters such as friction. However, its mathematical friction model is unknown. There are alternatives such as Simscape Multibody that facilitate the configuration of any friction model. This paper presents a case study of dynamic simulation using the mathematical model of a mechanism in order to compare it with ADAMS and Simscape Multibody. The state-space model uses the parameters b and fc – viscous and Coulomb friction coefficients. However, ADAMS uses only More >

Research on the Intelligent Control Strategy of the Fuel Cell Phase-Shifting Full-Bridge Power Electronics DC-DC Converter

    Lei Zhang1, Yinlong Yuan1,*, Yihe Sun2, Yun Cheng1, Dian Wu1, Lei Ren1

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.1, pp. 387-405, 2022, DOI:10.32604/EE.2022.017463 - 22 November 2021

Abstract With the aggravation of energy problems, the development and utilization of new energy has become the focus of all countries. As an effective new energy, the fuel cell has attracted the attention of scholars. However, due to the particularity of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), the performance of traditional PI controlled phase-shifted full-bridge power electronics DC-DC converter cannot meet the needs of practical application. In order to further improve the dynamic performance of the converter, this paper first introduces several main topologies of the current mainstream front-end DC-DC converter, and analyzes their performance in… More >
