SMSTracker: A Self-Calibration Multi-Head Self-Attention Transformer for Visual Object Tracking

Zhongyang Wang, Hu Zhu, Feng Liu*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.80, No.1, pp. 605-623, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.050959 - 18 July 2024

Abstract Visual object tracking plays a crucial role in computer vision. In recent years, researchers have proposed various methods to achieve high-performance object tracking. Among these, methods based on Transformers have become a research hotspot due to their ability to globally model and contextualize information. However, current Transformer-based object tracking methods still face challenges such as low tracking accuracy and the presence of redundant feature information. In this paper, we introduce self-calibration multi-head self-attention Transformer (SMSTracker) as a solution to these challenges. It employs a hybrid tensor decomposition self-organizing multi-head self-attention transformer mechanism, which not only… More >

Path-Based Clustering Algorithm with High Scalability Using the Combined Behavior of Evolutionary Algorithms

    Leila Safari-Monjeghtapeh1, Mansour Esmaeilpour2,*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.48, No.3, pp. 705-721, 2024, DOI:10.32604/csse.2024.044892 - 20 May 2024

Abstract Path-based clustering algorithms typically generate clusters by optimizing a benchmark function. Most optimization methods in clustering algorithms often offer solutions close to the general optimal value. This study achieves the global optimum value for the criterion function in a shorter time using the minimax distance, Maximum Spanning Tree “MST”, and meta-heuristic algorithms, including Genetic Algorithm “GA” and Particle Swarm Optimization “PSO”. The Fast Path-based Clustering “FPC” algorithm proposed in this paper can find cluster centers correctly in most datasets and quickly perform clustering operations. The FPC does this operation using MST, the minimax distance, and… More >

RLAT: Lightweight Transformer for High-Resolution Range Profile Sequence Recognition

Xiaodan Wang*, Peng Wang, Yafei Song, Qian Xiang, Jingtai Li

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.48, No.1, pp. 217-246, 2024, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.039846 - 26 January 2024

Abstract High-resolution range profile (HRRP) automatic recognition has been widely applied to military and civilian domains. Present HRRP recognition methods have difficulty extracting deep and global information about the HRRP sequence, which performs poorly in real scenes due to the ambient noise, variant targets, and limited data. Moreover, most existing methods improve the recognition performance by stacking a large number of modules, but ignore the lightweight of methods, resulting in over-parameterization and complex computational effort, which will be challenging to meet the deployment and application on edge devices. To tackle the above problems, this paper proposes… More >

Ergonomic Reliability Assessment of VDT System for Operation Design Based on Improved BPNN and HCR under Special Circumstances

    Xin Liu1, Zheng Liu2,*, Zhilin Huang1, Mingyu Ling1, Kangchao Lin1, Pengqing Chen1, Xiaomin Huang1, Yujia Zhai1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.1, pp. 685-707, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025058 - 05 January 2023

Abstract Ergonomic reliability plays a significant role in the safe operation of devices. With the spread of infectious diseases around the world, in work environments with high loads and high infection rates, medical staff work in a state of high self-protection. The use of visual display terminal (VDT) for medical equipment has undergone fundamental changes, and the traditional medical equipment human-machine interface design needs to be improved. After the completion of design and development, a VDT design enters the experimental testing stage, which has significant limitations for simulating the work of medical staff in the high-load… More >

    BIOCELL, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 471-478, 2022, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2021.015701 - 20 October 2021

Abstract A progressive neurodegenerative disease, Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Studies suggest that highly expressed protein isoaspartate methyltransferase 1 (PCMT1) in brain tissue. In the current study, we explored the effects of neural stem cell-conditioned medium (NSC-CDM) on the PCMT1/MST1 pathway to alleviate Aβ25-35-induced damage in SH-SY5Y cells. Our data suggested that Aβ25-35 markedly inhibited cell viability. NSC-CDM or Neural stem cell-complete medium (NSC-CPM) had a suppression effect on toxicity when treatment with Aβ25-35, with a greater effect observed with NSC-CDM. Aβ25-35 + NSC-CDM group exhibited an increase in PCMT1 expression. sh-PCMT1 markedly decreased cell proliferation and suppressed the protective More >

Retrieval, reporting and methodological characteristics for systematic reviews/meta-analyses of animal models: a meta-epidemiological study

    Shuzhen SHI1, 2, Ming LIU1, 2, Wenjuan MA1, 2, Ya GAO1, 2, Long GE3, Xiping SHEN3, Jiarui WU4, Junhua ZHANG5, *, Jinhui TIAN1, 2, *

    BIOCELL, Vol.43, No.4, pp. 233-251, 2019, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2019.07624

Abstract The study aimed to analyze the reporting and methodological quality of systematic reviews (SRs)/metaanalyses (MAs) of animal models to provide references for later studies and avoid the waste of medical resources. EMBASE and MEDLINE databases were searched from inception to November 2017, with no language restriction. Two reviewers selected inclusion dependently and extracted the basic characteristics. Review Manager 5.3, stata 12.0, and SPSS 21 software were used to conduct analyses. A total of 46 SRs/MAs were included. The results showed that the English databases with high retrieval frequency are PubMed/MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Web of Science.… More >

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.44, No.3, pp. 281-312, 2009, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2009.044.281

Abstract Here we develop a general purpose pre/post conditionerT, to solve an ill-posed system of linear equations,Ax=b. The conditionerTis obtained in the course of the solution of the Laplace equation, through a boundary-collocation Trefftz method, leading to:Ty=x, whereyis the vector of coefficients in the Trefftz expansion, andxis the boundary data at the discrete points on a unit circle. We show that the quality of the conditionerTis greatly enhanced by using multiple characteristic lengths (Multiple Length Scales) in the Trefftz expansion. We further show thatTcan be multiplicatively decomposed into a dilationTDand a rotationTR. For an odd-orderedA, we More >

    BIOCELL, Vol.30, No.1, pp. 43-49, 2006, DOI:10.32604/biocell.2006.30.043

Abstract Electrophysiological events occur early after fertilization, along with changes in intracellular Ca2+ concentration . Passive electrical parameters were determined in golden hamster oocytes by whole cell patch-clamp method. In separate experiments the effect of 4-aminopyridine on resting oocytes was tested. The single-channel patch clamp configuration was employed to assess the electrical response to fertilization with homologous sperm. Structure of oocytes submitted to patch clamp was evaluated with scanning electron microscopy and found to be preserved.
Oocyte diameter was 70.2 ± 2.2 µm; their resting parameters were: membrane potential 23.8 ± 0.8 mV; total membrane specific… More >
