Location Prediction for Improved Human Safety at Complex Environments

    S. G. Siddharth1,*, G. M. Tamilselvan2, C. Venkatesh3

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.3, pp. 5219-5234, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.019252 - 14 January 2022

Abstract In underground operation, primary consideration is safety. In recent decades, for minimizing accident and for preventing major economic losses and casualties, wireless sensors are used by various large mineral countries through early warning. The Improved DV-Hop Localization Algorithm (IDVHLA) is used in existing works for doing this. However, accurate anchor node detection is impossible in existing works with the malicious nodes presence, where there won't be any accurate sharing of anchor node's location information. In case of emergency situation, faster communication is a highly complex one. A technique called Modified Distance Vector Hop based Multipath… More >

A Location Prediction Method Based on GA-LSTM Networks and Associated Movement Behavior Information

    Xingxing Cao1, Liming Jiang1,*, Xiaoliang Wang1, Frank Jiang2

    Journal of Information Hiding and Privacy Protection, Vol.2, No.4, pp. 187-197, 2020, DOI:10.32604/jihpp.2020.016243 - 07 January 2021

Abstract Due to the lack of consideration of movement behavior information other than time and location perception in current location prediction methods, the movement characteristics of trajectory data cannot be well expressed, which in turn affects the accuracy of the prediction results. First, a new trajectory data expression method by associating the movement behavior information is given. The pre-association method is used to model the movement behavior information according to the individual movement behavior features and the group movement behavior features extracted from the trajectory sequence and the region. The movement behavior features based on pre-association More >

Accurate Location Prediction of Social‐Users Using mHMM

Ahsan Hussain, Bettahally N. Keshavamurthy, Ravi Prasad K. Jagannath

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.3, pp. 473-486, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2018.11007092

Abstract Prediction space of distinct check-in locations in Location-Based Social Networks is a challenge. In this paper, a thorough analysis of Foursquare Check-ins is done. Based on previous check-in sequences, next location of social-users is accurately predicted using multinomial-Hidden Markov Model (mHMM) with Steady-State probabilities. This information benefits security-agencies in tracking suspects and restaurant-owners to predict their customers’ arrivals at different venues on given days. Higher accuracy and Steady-State venuepopularities obtained for location-prediction using the proposed method, outperform various other baseline methods. More >
