Asmaa Habib Alanzi, N. Ameer Ahammad*

    Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.21, pp. 179-197, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fhmt.2023.042009 - 30 November 2023

Abstract The conversion of solar radiation to thermal energy has recently attracted a lot of interest as the requirement for renewable heat and power grows. Due to their enhanced ability to promote heat transmission, nanofluids can significantly contribute to enhancing the efficiency of solar-thermal systems. This article focus solar energy aspect on the effects of the thermal radiation in the flow of a hyperbolic tangent nanofluid containing magnesium oxide (MgO) and silver (Ag) are the nanoparticle with the base fluid as kerosene through a wedge and stagnation. The system of hybrid nanofluid transport equations are transformed into… More >

Hyperparameter Tuning for Deep Neural Networks Based Optimization Algorithm

    D. Vidyabharathi1,*, V. Mohanraj2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.3, pp. 2559-2573, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.032255 - 15 March 2023

Abstract For training the present Neural Network (NN) models, the standard technique is to utilize decaying Learning Rates (LR). While the majority of these techniques commence with a large LR, they will decay multiple times over time. Decaying has been proved to enhance generalization as well as optimization. Other parameters, such as the network’s size, the number of hidden layers, dropouts to avoid overfitting, batch size, and so on, are solely based on heuristics. This work has proposed Adaptive Teaching Learning Based (ATLB) Heuristic to identify the optimal hyperparameters for diverse networks. Here we consider three More >

Efficient Object Detection and Classification Approach Using HTYOLOV4 and M2RFO-CNN

    V. Arulalan*, Dhananjay Kumar

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.44, No.2, pp. 1703-1717, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.026744 - 15 June 2022

Abstract Object detection and classification are the trending research topics in the field of computer vision because of their applications like visual surveillance. However, the vision-based objects detection and classification methods still suffer from detecting smaller objects and dense objects in the complex dynamic environment with high accuracy and precision. The present paper proposes a novel enhanced method to detect and classify objects using Hyperbolic Tangent based You Only Look Once V4 with a Modified Manta-Ray Foraging Optimization-based Convolution Neural Network. Initially, in the pre-processing, the video data was converted into image sequences and Polynomial Adaptive… More >

    Somayeh Ezadia, Tofigh Allahviranloob

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 217-221, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2017.1367146

Abstract Many practical applications, under the definitive evolutionary state of the nature, the consequences of the decisions, mental states of a decision maker are required. Thus, the need is for a new concept in the analysis of decision-making. Zadeh has introduced this concept as the Z-number. Because the concept is relatively new, Z-number in fuzzy sets, hence, its basic theoretical aspects are yet undetermined. This paper presents a method for ranking Z-numbers. Hence, we propose a new method for ranking fuzzy numbers based on that of hyperbolic tangent function and convex combination. Then, using the same More >

INFLUENCE OF CATTANEO-CHRISTOV HEAT FLUX MODEL ON MHD HYPERBOLIC TANGENT FLUID OVER A MOVING POROUS SURFACE

    Z. Iqbal, Ehtsham Azhar* , E. N. Maraj, Bilal Ahmad

Frontiers in Heat and Mass Transfer, Vol.8, pp. 1-7, 2017, DOI:10.5098/hmt.8.25

Abstract Present investigation represent the study of Cattaneo-Christov heat flux model on boundary layer flow of hyperbolic tangent fluid which is generalized non-Newtonian fluid model over a continuously moving porous surface with a parallel free stream velocity. Mathematical formulation is completed in the presence of Magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD). Suitable relations transform the partial differential equations into the ordinary differential equations. Nonlinear flow analysis is computed and velocity and temperature profiles are obtained by shooting algorithm. Graphs are plotted to analyze the behavior of various involved physical parameters. Furthermore both type of flows Sakaidis ( λ = 1) and More >
