Abstract In recent years, the growth of female employees in the commercial market and industries has increased. As a result, some people think travelling to distant and isolated locations during odd hours generates new threats to women’s safety. The exponential increase in assaults and attacks on women, on the other hand, is posing a threat to women’s growth, development, and security. At the time of the attack, it appears the women were immobilized and needed immediate support. Only self-defense isn’t sufficient against abuse; a new technological solution is desired and can be used as quickly as… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.2, pp. 4423-4439, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.030432 - 16 June 2022

Abstract Due to rapid development in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL), it is difficult to maintain the security and robustness of these techniques and algorithms due to emergence of novel term adversary sampling. Such technique is sensitive to these models. Thus, fake samples cause AI and DL model to produce diverse results. Adversarial attacks that successfully implemented in real world scenarios highlight their applicability even further. In this regard, minor modifications of input images cause “Adversarial Attacks” that altered the performance of competing attacks dramatically. Recently, such attacks and defensive strategies are gaining lot… More >

    Biying Deng1, Ziyong Ran1, Jixin Chen1, Desheng Zheng1,*, Qiao Yang2, Lulu Tian3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.30, No.3, pp. 889-898, 2021, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2021.019727 - 20 August 2021

Abstract In recent years, due to the popularization of deep learning technology, more and more attention has been paid to the security of deep neural networks. A wide variety of machine learning algorithms can attack neural networks and make its classification and judgement of target samples wrong. However, the previous attack algorithms are based on the calculation of the corresponding model to generate unique adversarial examples, and cannot extract attack features and generate corresponding samples in batches. In this paper, Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) is used to learn the distribution of adversarial examples generated by FGSM More >

A Three-Point BVP of Time-Dependent Inverse Heat Source Problems and Solving by a TSLGSM

    Weichung Yeih1,2, Chein-Shan Liu3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 107-128, 2009, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2009.046.107

Abstract We consider an inverse problem for estimating an unknown time dependent heat source H(t) in a heat conduction equation ut(x,t) = uxx(x,t) + H(t). First this inverse problem is formulated as a three-point boundary value problem (BVP) for ODEs discretized from the transformed homogeneous governing equation. To treat this three-point BVP we develop a two-stage Lie-group shooting method (TSLGSM). The novel approach is examined through numerical examples to convince that it is rather accurate and efficient; the estimation error is small even for identifying discontinuous and oscillatory heat sources under noise. A Novel Fictitious Time Integration Method for Solving the Discretized Inverse Sturm-Liouville Problems, For Specified Eigenvalues

    Chein-Shan Liu1, Satya N. Atluri2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.36, No.3, pp. 261-286, 2008, DOI:10.3970/cmes.2008.036.261

Abstract The inverse Sturm-Liouville problem finds its applications in the identification of mechanical properties and/or geometrical configurations of a vibrating continuous medium; however, this problem is hard to solve, either theoretically or numerically. Previously, Liu (2008a) has constructed a Lie-group shooting method to determine the eigenvalues, and the corresponding eigenfunctions, for the direct Sturm-Liouville problem. In this study, we are concerned with solving the inverse Sturm-Liouville problem, by developing a Lie-group of SL(2,R) to construct nonlinear algebraic equations (NAEs), when discrete eigenvalues are specified. Our purpose here is to use these NAEs to solve the unknown function More >
