AI-Driven FBMC-OQAM Signal Recognition via Transform Channel Convolution Strategy

    Zeliang An1, Tianqi Zhang1,*, Debang Liu1, Yuqing Xu2, Gert Frølund Pedersen2, Ming Shen2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.76, No.3, pp. 2817-2834, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.037832 - 08 October 2023

Abstract With the advent of the Industry 5.0 era, the Internet of Things (IoT) devices face unprecedented proliferation, requiring higher communications rates and lower transmission delays. Considering its high spectrum efficiency, the promising filter bank multicarrier (FBMC) technique using offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) has been applied to Beyond 5G (B5G) industry IoT networks. However, due to the broadcasting nature of wireless channels, the FBMC-OQAM industry IoT network is inevitably vulnerable to adversary attacks from malicious IoT nodes. The FBMC-OQAM industry cognitive radio network (ICRNet) is proposed to ensure security at the physical layer to tackle… More >

    C. Thiruvengadam1,*, M. Palanivelan2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.3, pp. 2803-2818, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.030493 - 15 March 2023

Abstract There are numerous goals in next-generation cellular networks (5G), which is expected to be available soon. They want to increase data rates, reduce end-to-end latencies, and improve end-user service quality. Modern networks need to change because there has been a significant rise in the number of base stations required to meet these needs and put the operators’ low-cost constraints to the test. Because it can withstand interference from other wireless networks, and Adaptive Complex Multicarrier Modulation (ACMM) system is being looked at as a possible choice for the 5th Generation (5G) of wireless networks. Many… More >

    Ramesh Ramamoorthy1, Himanshu Sharma2, A. Akilandeswari3, Nidhi Gour2, Arun Kumar4,*, Mehedi Masud5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.3, pp. 1207-1217, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.024749 - 09 May 2022

Abstract Spectrum sensing is one of the major concerns in reaching an efficient Quality of service (QOS) in the advanced mobile communication system. The advanced engineering sciences such as 5G, device 2 device communications (D2D), Internet of things (IoT), MIMO require a large spectrum for better service. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is not a choice in advanced radio due to the Cyclic Prefix (CP), wastage of the spectrum, and so on. Hence, it is important to explore the spectral efficient advanced waveform techniques and combine a cognitive radio (CR) with the 5G waveform to sense… More >

PAPR Reduction Using Advanced Partial Transmission Scheme for 5G Waveforms

    Arun Kumar1, Sumit Chakravarty2, S. Suganya3, Mehedi Masud4,*, Sultan Aljahdali4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.2, pp. 483-492, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.022899 - 04 January 2022

Abstract The implementation of Peak Average to Power Ratio (PAPR) reduction technologies will play an important role in the regularization of Fifth Generation (5G) radio communication. PAPR reduction in the advanced waveform will be the key part of designing a 5G network for different applications. This work introduces the simulation of an Advanced Partial Transmission Sequence (A-PTS) reduction techniques for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and Filter Bank Multi-Carrier (FBMC) transmission schemes. In the projected A-PTS, the FBMC signals are mapped into the number of sub-blocks and Inverse Fast Fourier transform (IFFT) is performed to estimate More >

    Arun Kumar1,*, Sivabalan Ambigapathy2, Mehedi Masud3, Emad Sami Jaha4, Sumit Chakravarty5, Kanchan Sengar1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 2967-2981, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.019092 - 24 August 2021

Abstract The article introduces Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) and Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC), known as hybrid waveform (NOMA-FBMC), as two of the most deserving contenders for fifth-generation (5G) network. High spectrum access and clampdown of spectrum outflow are unique characteristics of hybrid NOMA-FBMC. We compare the spectral efficiency of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), FBMC, NOMA, and NOMA-FBMC. It is seen that the hybrid waveform outperforms the existing waveforms. Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) is regarded as a significant issue in multicarrier waveforms. The combination of Selective Mapping-Partial Transmit Sequence (SLM-PTS) is an effective way More >
