Fatigue Life Evaluation Method for Foundry Crane Metal Structure Considering Load Dynamic Response and Crack Closure Effect

    Qing Dong1, *, Bin He1, Gening Xu1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.122, No.2, pp. 525-553, 2020, DOI: 10.32604/cmes.2020.08498

Abstract To compensate for the shortcomings of quasi-static law in anti-fatigue analysis of foundry crane metal structures, the fatigue life evaluation method of foundry crane metal structure considering load dynamic response and crack closure effect is proposed. In line with the theory of mechanical vibration, a dynamic model of crane structure during the working cycle is constructed, and dynamic coefficients under diverse actions are analysed. Calculation models of the internal force dynamic change process of dangerous cross-sections and a simulation model of first principal stress-time history are established by using the steel structure design criteria, which is utilised to extract the… More >

    Overview of Digital Image Restoration

    Wei Chen1, 2, Tingzhu Sun1, 2, Fangming Bi1, 2, *, Tongfeng Sun1, 2, Chaogang Tang1, 2, Biruk Assefa1, 3

    Journal of New Media, Vol.1, No.1, pp. 35-44, 2019, DOI:10.32604/jnm.2019.05803

Abstract Image restoration is an image processing technology with great practical value in the field of computer vision. It is a computer technology that estimates the image information of the damaged area according to the residual image information of the damaged image and carries out automatic repair. This article firstly classify and summarize image restoration algorithms, and describe recent advances in the research respectively from three aspects including image restoration based on partial differential equation, based on the texture of image restoration and based on deep learning, then make the brief analysis of digital image restoration of subjective and objective evaluation… More >

A “Three-index” Seismic Performance Evaluation Method Based on Sino-US Seismic Code

    Hui Wang1,*, Shuqi Wan2

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.12, No.3, pp. 149-167, 2018, DOI: 10.3970/sdhm.2018.03928

Abstract The Code for Seismic Design of Buildings (GB50011-2010) in 2016 and the method of seismic performance-based design for high-rise buildings in the Guide for Performance-based Design of High-Rise Buildings (TBI2017) are compared. In view of the characteristics and limitations of the seismic performance index set by the Sino-US seismic code, a “three-index” performance index system and evaluation process considering the displacement angle of the structural interlayer, the plastic damage degree of components and the plastic strain of material is put forward; combining the example of time-history analysis of a out-of-code high-rise building under the rare earthquakes is verified. The results… More >

Analysis of Office-Teaching Comprehensive Buildings Using a Modified Seismic Performance Evaluation Method

    Hanbo Zhu1,2, Changqing Miao1,2,*, Meiling Zhuang1,2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.118, No.3, pp. 471-491, 2019, DOI:10.31614/cmes.2019.04382

Abstract Current building design codes allow the appearance of structural and nonstructural damage under design basis earthquakes. The research regarding probabilistic seismic loss estimation in domestic building structure is urgent. The evaluation in this paper is based on a 11-story reinforced concrete office building, incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) is conducted in Perform 3D program using models capable to simulate all possible limit states up to collapse. Next, the probability distribution of post-earthquake casualties, rebuild costs repair costs and business downtime loss are calculated in PACT software for the studied building considering the modified component vulnerability groups and population flow models. Ma Ning1,*, Jianhe Guan1, Pingzeng Liu2, Ziqing Zhang3, Gregory M. P. O’Hare4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.58, No.1, pp. 215-227, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.03763

Abstract With the rapid development of China’s economy, the scale of the city has been continuously expanding, industrial enterprises have been increasing, the discharge of multiple pollutants has reached the top of the world, and the environmental problems become more and more serious. The air pollution problem is particularly prominent. Air quality has become a daily concern for people. In order to control air pollution, it is necessary to grasp the air quality situation in an all-round way. It is necessary to evaluate air quality. Accurate results of air quality evaluation can help people know more about air quality. In this… More >
