    Xingquan Zhang1, Renjun Xie1, Kuan Liu2,*, Yating Li2, Yuqiang Xu2,*

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.6, pp. 1721-1733, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2023.025578

Abstract The well-known “lost circulation” problem refers to the uncontrolled flow of whole mud into a formation. In order to address the problem related to the paucity of available data, in the present study, a model is introduced for the lost-circulation risk sample profile of a drilled well. The model is built taking into account effective data (the Block L). Then, using a three-dimensional geological modeling software, relying on the variation function and sequential Gaussian simulation method, a three-dimensional block lost-circulation risk model is introduced able to provide relevant information for regional analyses. Analysis of the Applicability of a Risk Quantitative Evaluation Method to High Temperature-Pressure Drilling Engineering

    Renjun Xie1, Xingquan Zhang1, Baolun He2,*, Ningyu Zheng2, Yuqiang Xu2,*

    FDMP-Fluid Dynamics & Materials Processing, Vol.19, No.6, pp. 1385-1395, 2023, DOI:10.32604/fdmp.2023.025454

Abstract The optimization of methods for the quantitative evaluation of risks in drilling engineering is an effective means to ensure safety in situations where high temperature and high pressure blocks are considered. In such a context, this study analyzes the complexity of the drilled wells in such blocks. It is shown that phenomena such as well kick, loss, circulation, and sticking, are related to the imbalance of wellbore pressure. A method for risk quantitative evaluation is proposed accordingly. The method is used to evaluate the risk for 9 drilled wells. By comparing the predictions of the method with actual historical data… More > Graphic Abstract

Suitability Evaluation of Hydrogen Production and Hydrogenation Station Based on AHP-Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method

Sainan Zhang, Jing Xue*, Xudong Sun

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.4, pp. 1547-1567, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.019450

Abstract Since there are multiple influencing factors and lack of evaluation standards for the construction of hydrogen production and hydrogenation station in China, this paper establishes the suitability evaluation index system of hydrogen production and hydrogenation station from four aspects of technology, economy, environment and safety. Combined with actual conditions, this paper uses Analytic Hierarch Process (AHP) and Fuzzy Comprehensive evaluation to evaluate water electrolysis hydrogen and hydrogenation production station and natural gas reformation hydrogen production and hydrogenation station. The results show that hydrogen producing by water electrolysis is more efficient than natural gas reformation in hydrogen production and hydrogenation station,… More > Graphic Abstract

A Reliability Evaluation Method for Intermittent Jointed Rock Slope Based on Evolutionary Support Vector Machine

Shuai Zheng, An-Nan Jiang*, Kai-Shuai Feng

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.129, No.1, pp. 149-166, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.016761

Abstract The randomness of rock joint development is an important factor in the uncertainty of geotechnical engineering stability. In this study, a method is proposed to evaluate the reliability of intermittent jointed rock slope. The least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) evolved by a bacterial foraging optimization algorithm (BFOA) is used to establish a response surface model to express the mapping relationship between the intermittent joint parameters and the slope safety factor. The training samples are obtained from the numerical calculation based on the joint finite element method during this process. Considering the randomness of the intermittent joint parameters in the… More >

Competency Driven Resource Evaluation Method for Business Process Intelligence

Abid Sohail1,*, Dhanapal Durai Dominic2, Mohammad Hijji3, Muhammad Arif Butt4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.1, pp. 1141-1157, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.018023

Abstract Enterprises are continuously aiming at improving the execution of processes to achieve a competitive edge. One of the established ways of improving process performance is to assign the most appropriate resources to each task of the process. However, evaluations of business process improvement approaches have established that a method that can guide decision-makers to identify the most appropriate resources for a task of process improvement in a structured way, is missing. It is because the relationship between resources and tasks is less understood and advancement in business process intelligence is also ignored. To address this problem an integrated resource classification… More >

The Study on Evaluation Method of Urban Network Security in the Big Data Era

    Qingyuan Zhoua, Jianjian Luob

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.24, No.1, pp. 133-138, 2018, DOI:10.1080/10798587.2016.1267444

Abstract Big data is an emerging paradigm applied to datasets whose size is beyond the ability of commonly used software tools to capture, manage, and process the data within a tolerable elapsed time. In a Smarter City, available resources are harnessed safely, sustainably and efficiently to achieve positive, measurable economic and societal outcomes. Most of the challenges of Big Data in Smart Cities are multi-dimensional and can be addressed from different multidisciplinary perspectives. Based on the above considerations, this paper combined the PSR method, the fuzzy logic model and the entropy weight method in an empirical study for feasible urban public… More >

Fatigue Life Evaluation Method for Foundry Crane Metal Structure Considering Load Dynamic Response and Crack Closure Effect

    Qing Dong1, *, Bin He1, Gening Xu1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.122, No.2, pp. 525-553, 2020, DOI: 10.32604/cmes.2020.08498

Abstract To compensate for the shortcomings of quasi-static law in anti-fatigue analysis of foundry crane metal structures, the fatigue life evaluation method of foundry crane metal structure considering load dynamic response and crack closure effect is proposed. In line with the theory of mechanical vibration, a dynamic model of crane structure during the working cycle is constructed, and dynamic coefficients under diverse actions are analysed. Calculation models of the internal force dynamic change process of dangerous cross-sections and a simulation model of first principal stress-time history are established by using the steel structure design criteria, which is utilised to extract the… More >
