FPGA Accelerators for Computing Interatomic Potential-Based Molecular Dynamics Simulation for Gold Nanoparticles: Exploring Different Communication Protocols

    Ankitkumar Patel1, Srivathsan Vasudevan1,*, Satya Bulusu2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.80, No.3, pp. 3803-3818, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.052851

Abstract Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation for computing Interatomic Potential (IAP) is a very important High-Performance Computing (HPC) application. MD simulation on particles of experimental relevance takes huge computation time, despite using an expensive high-end server. Heterogeneous computing, a combination of the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and a computer, is proposed as a solution to compute MD simulation efficiently. In such heterogeneous computation, communication between FPGA and Computer is necessary. One such MD simulation, explained in the paper, is the (Artificial Neural Network) ANN-based IAP computation of gold (Au147 & Au309) nanoparticles. MD simulation calculates the forces… More >

A Review of Deep Learning-Based Vulnerability Detection Tools for Ethernet Smart Contracts

Huaiguang Wu, Yibo Peng, Yaqiong He*, Jinlin Fan

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.140, No.1, pp. 77-108, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2024.046758

Abstract In recent years, the number of smart contracts deployed on blockchain has exploded. However, the issue of vulnerability has caused incalculable losses. Due to the irreversible and immutability of smart contracts, vulnerability detection has become particularly important. With the popular use of neural network model, there has been a growing utilization of deep learning-based methods and tools for the identification of vulnerabilities within smart contracts. This paper commences by providing a succinct overview of prevalent categories of vulnerabilities found in smart contracts. Subsequently, it categorizes and presents an overview of contemporary deep learning-based tools developed… More > Graphic Abstract

Research on Intelligent Energy Storage Control Method with Ethernet Communication

    Lu Wang1,2, Yulong Guo2, Jianbin Liang3,*, Haitao Tian4

    Energy Engineering, Vol.117, No.6, pp. 471-480, 2020, DOI:10.32604/EE.2020.011131

Abstract The increasingly severe global energy crisis has brought great challenges to the energy field, and renewable energy power generation system has been widely concerned because of its characteristics of green and inexhaustible. However, renewable energy also has some limitations in its specific application, and affects the grid-connected power generation of new energy. In this paper, based on the background of photovoltaic power station, the intelligent energy storage control method for single inverter is put forward to assist a single inverter, and the DC component of fluctuating power is extracted by using the moving average function; More >
