An Adaptive Congestion Control Optimization Strategy in SDN-Based Data Centers

    Jinlin Xu1,2, Wansu Pan1,*, Haibo Tan1,2, Longle Cheng1, Xiaofeng Li1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.81, No.2, pp. 2709-2726, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.056925 - 18 November 2024

Abstract The traffic within data centers exhibits bursts and unpredictable patterns. This rapid growth in network traffic has two consequences: it surpasses the inherent capacity of the network’s link bandwidth and creates an imbalanced network load. Consequently, persistent overload situations eventually result in network congestion. The Software Defined Network (SDN) technology is employed in data centers as a network architecture to enhance performance. This paper introduces an adaptive congestion control strategy, named DA-DCTCP, for SDN-based Data Centers. It incorporates Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN) and Round-Trip Time (RTT) to establish congestion awareness and an ECN marking model.… More >

Prediction of Epileptic EEG Signal Based on SECNN-LSTM

    Jian Qiang Wang1, Wei Fang1,2,*, Victor S. Sheng3

    Journal of New Media, Vol.4, No.2, pp. 73-84, 2022, DOI:10.32604/jnm.2022.027040 - 13 June 2022

Abstract Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology is a way for humans to explore the mysteries of the brain and has applications in many areas of real life. People use this technology to capture brain waves and analyze the electroencephalograph (EEG) signal for feature extraction. Take the medical field as an example, epilepsy disease is threatening human health every moment. We propose a convolutional neural network SECNN-LSTM framework based on the attention mechanism can automatically perform feature extraction and analysis on the collected EEG signals of patients to complete the prediction of epilepsy diseases, overcoming the problem that More >

An Efficient Deep Learning-based Content-based Image Retrieval Framework

    M. Sivakumar1,*, N. M. Saravana Kumar2, N. Karthikeyan1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.2, pp. 683-700, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.021459 - 20 April 2022

Abstract The use of massive image databases has increased drastically over the few years due to evolution of multimedia technology. Image retrieval has become one of the vital tools in image processing applications. Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) has been widely used in varied applications. But, the results produced by the usage of a single image feature are not satisfactory. So, multiple image features are used very often for attaining better results. But, fast and effective searching for relevant images from a database becomes a challenging task. In the previous existing system, the CBIR has used the… More >

A Novel Forgery Detection in Image Frames of the Videos Using Enhanced Convolutional Neural Network in Face Images

    S. Velliangiri1,*, J. Premalatha2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.125, No.2, pp. 625-645, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.010869 - 12 October 2020

Abstract Different devices in the recent era generated a vast amount of digital video. Generally, it has been seen in recent years that people are forging the video to use it as proof of evidence in the court of justice. Many kinds of researches on forensic detection have been presented, and it provides less accuracy. This paper proposed a novel forgery detection technique in image frames of the videos using enhanced Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). In the initial stage, the input video is taken as of the dataset and then converts the videos into image frames. More >
