    P. Chellamani1,2,*, D. Ajay1, Mohammed M. Al-Shamiri3,4, Rashad Ismail3,4

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.3, pp. 4935-4953, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.036321

Abstract Graph theory has a significant impact and is crucial in the structure of many real-life situations. To simulate uncertainty and ambiguity, many extensions of graph theoretical notions were created. Planar graphs play a vital role in modelling which has the property of non-crossing edges. Although crossing edges benefit, they have some drawbacks, which paved the way for the introduction of planar graphs. The overall purpose of the study is to contribute to the conceptual development of the Pythagorean Neutrosophic graph. The basic methodology of our research is the incorporation of the analogous concepts of planar graphs in the Pythagorean Neutrosophic… More >

Fermatean Hesitant Fuzzy Prioritized Heronian Mean Operator and Its Application in Multi-Attribute Decision Making

    Chuan-Yang Ruan1,2, Xiang-Jing Chen1, Li-Na Han3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.2, pp. 3203-3222, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.035480

Abstract In real life, incomplete information, inaccurate data, and the preferences of decision-makers during qualitative judgment would impact the process of decision-making. As a technical instrument that can successfully handle uncertain information, Fermatean fuzzy sets have recently been used to solve the multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) problems. This paper proposes a Fermatean hesitant fuzzy information aggregation method to address the problem of fusion where the membership, non-membership, and priority are considered simultaneously. Combining the Fermatean hesitant fuzzy sets with Heronian Mean operators, this paper proposes the Fermatean hesitant fuzzy Heronian mean (FHFHM) operator and the Fermatean hesitant fuzzy weighted Heronian mean (FHFWHM)… More >

Behavioral Decision-Making of Key Stakeholders in Public-Private Partnerships: A Hybrid Method and Benefit Distribution Study

    Guoshuai Sun1,2,3, Wanyi Zhang1, Jiuying Dong4,*, Shuping Wan2, Jiao Feng5

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 2895-2934, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.025652

Abstract Public-private partnerships (PPPs) have been used by governments around the world to procure and construct infrastructural amenities. It relies on private sector expertise and funding to achieve this lofty objective. However, given the uncertainties of project management, transparency, accountability, and expropriation, this phenomenon has gained tremendous attention in recent years due to the important role it plays in curbing infrastructural deficits globally. Interestingly, the reasonable benefit distribution scheme in a PPP project is related to the behavior decision-making of the government and social capital, as well as the performance of the project. In this paper, the government and social capital… More >

    Salma Khan1, Muhammad Gulistan1, Nasreen Kausar2, Dragan Pamucar3, Tzung-Pei Hong4,5, Hafiz Abdul Wahab1,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.3, pp. 3141-3156, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.026169

Abstract In this paper, a decision-making problem with a q-rung orthopair fuzzy hypersoft environment is developed, and two operators of ordered weighted average and induced ordered weighted average are developed. Several fundamental features are also derived. The induced ordered weighted average operator is essential in a q-ROFH environment as the induced ordered aggregation operators are special cases of the existing aggregation operators that already exist in q-ROFH environments. The main function of these operators is to help decision-makers gain a complete understanding of uncertain facts. The proposed aggregation operator is applied to a decision-making problem, with the aim of selecting the… More > Graphic Abstract

BS-SC Model: A Novel Method for Predicting Child Abuse Using Borderline-SMOTE Enabled Stacking Classifier

    Saravanan Parthasarathy, Arun Raj Lakshminarayanan*

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.46, No.2, pp. 1311-1336, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.034910

Abstract For a long time, legal entities have developed and used crime prediction methodologies. The techniques are frequently updated based on crime evaluations and responses from scientific communities. There is a need to develop type-based crime prediction methodologies that can be used to address issues at the subgroup level. Child maltreatment is not adequately addressed because children are voiceless. As a result, the possibility of developing a model for predicting child abuse was investigated in this study. Various exploratory analysis methods were used to examine the city of Chicago’s child abuse events. The data set was balanced using the Borderline-SMOTE technique,… More >

Abstract Due to the rapid propagation characteristic of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, manual diagnostic methods cannot handle the large number of infected individuals to prevent the spread of infection. Despite, new automated diagnostic methods have been brought on board, particularly methods based on artificial intelligence using different medical data such as X-ray imaging. Thoracic imaging, for example, produces several image types that can be processed and analyzed by machine and deep learning methods. X-ray imaging materials widely exist in most hospitals and health institutes since they are affordable compared to other imaging machines. Through this paper, we propose a novel Convolutional… More >

A Multi-Attribute Decision-Making Method Using Belief-Based Probabilistic Linguistic Term Sets and Its Application in Emergency Decision-Making

Runze Liu, Liguo Fei*, Jianing Mi

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.136, No.2, pp. 2039-2067, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.024927

Abstract Probabilistic linguistic term sets (PLTSs) are an effective tool for expressing subjective human cognition that offer advantages in the field of multi-attribute decision-making (MADM). However, studies have found that PLTSs have lost their ability to accurately capture the views of decision-makers (DMs) in certain circumstances, such as when the DM hesitates between multiple linguistic terms or the decision information is incomplete, thus affecting their role in the decision-making process. Belief function theory is a leading stream of thought in uncertainty processing that is suitable for dealing with the limitations of PLTS. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to extend… More > Graphic Abstract
