An Improved CREAM Model Based on DS Evidence Theory and DEMATEL

    Zhihui Xu1, Shuwen Shang2, Yuntong Pu3, Xiaoyan Su2,*, Hong Qian2, Xiaolei Pan2

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.3, pp. 2597-2617, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.031247

Abstract Cognitive Reliability and Error Analysis Method (CREAM) is widely used in human reliability analysis (HRA). It defines nine common performance conditions (CPCs), which represent the factors that may affect human reliability and are used to modify the cognitive failure probability (CFP). However, the levels of CPCs are usually determined by domain experts, which may be subjective and uncertain. What’s more, the classic CREAM assumes that the CPCs are independent, which is unrealistic. Ignoring the dependence among CPCs will result in repeated calculations of the influence of the CPCs on CFP and lead to unreasonable reliability evaluation. To address the issue… More > Graphic Abstract

Classification of Nonlinear Confusion Component Using Hybrid Multi-Criteria Decision Making

    Nabilah Abughazalah1, Iqra Ishaque2, Majid Khan2,*, Ammar S. Alanazi3, Iqtadar Hussain4,5

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.36, No.2, pp. 1451-1463, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.031855

Abstract In today’s digital world, the most inevitable challenge is the protection of digital information. Due to the weak confidentiality preserving techniques, the existing world is facing several digital information breaches. To make our digital data indecipherable to the unauthorized person, a technique for finding a cryptographically strong Substitution box (S-box) have presented. An S-box with sound cryptographic assets such as nonlinearity (NL), strict avalanche criterion (SAC), bit independence criteria (BIC), bit independence criteria of nonlinearity (BIC-NL), Bit independence criteria of Strict avalanche criteria (BIC-SAC), and Input/output XOR is considered as the robust S-box. The Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL)… More >

An Extended Fuzzy-DEMATEL System for Factor Analyses on Social Capital Selection in the Renovation of Old Residential Communities

    Guoshuai Sun1,2,3, Xiuru Tang1, Shuping Wan2,*, Jiao Feng4

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.134, No.2, pp. 1041-1067, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2022.021981

Abstract China has been promoting the renovation of old residential communities vigorously. Due to the financial pressure of the government and the sustainability of the renovation of old residential communities, public-private partnerships (PPP) have already gained attention. The selection of social capital is key to improving the efficiency of the PPP model in renovating old residential communities. In order to determine the influencing factors of social capital selection in the renovation of old residential communities, this paper aims to find an effective approach and analyze these factors. In this paper, a fuzzy decision-making and trial evaluation laboratory (fuzzy-DEMATEL) technique is extended… More >

Automotive Service Quality Investigation Using a Grey-DEMATEL Model

    Phi-Hung Nguyen*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.3, pp. 4779-4800, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.030745

Abstract In today’s fast-challenging business environment, automobile manufacturers are required to supply customers with high-quality vehicles at competitive prices. However, existing research on factors influencing service quality lacks a detailed and systematic understanding, and there is no consensus study on causal relationship and measuring the weights of service quality factors in the automotive manufacturing industry. This study provides an integrated technique for evaluating the automotive service quality in the context of VinFast-the Vietnamese leading brand. First, the Grey Theory System (GTS) is utilized to estimate the subjective views of the decision maker (DM) and overcome incomplete and vague decision information. Then,… More >

A Hybrid Grey DEMATEL and PLS-SEM Model to Investigate COVID-19 Vaccination Intention

    Phi-Hung Nguyen1,2,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.72, No.3, pp. 5059-5078, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.027630

Abstract The main objective of this study is to comprehensively investigate individuals’ vaccination intention against COVID-19 during the second wave of COVID-19 spread in Vietnam using a novel hybrid approach. First, the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory based on Grey Theory (DEMATEL-G) was employed to explore the critical factors of vaccination intention among individuals. Second, Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was applied to test the hypotheses of individual behavioral intention to get the vaccine to prevent the outbreak of COVID-19. A panel of 661 valid respondents was collected from June 2021 to July 2021, and confidentiality was maintained for all… More >

Using DEMATEL for Contextual Learner Modeling in Personalized and Ubiquitous Learning

    Saurabh Pal1, Pijush Kanti Dutta Pramanik1, Musleh Alsulami2, Anand Nayyar3,*, Mohammad Zarour4, Prasenjit Choudhury1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.3, pp. 3981-4001, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.017966

Abstract With the popularity of e-learning, personalization and ubiquity have become important aspects of online learning. To make learning more personalized and ubiquitous, we propose a learner model for a query-based personalized learning recommendation system. Several contextual attributes characterize a learner, but considering all of them is costly for a ubiquitous learning system. In this paper, a set of optimal intrinsic and extrinsic contexts of a learner are identified for learner modeling. A total of 208 students are surveyed. DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) technique is used to establish the validity and importance of the identified contexts and find… More >
