Eye Detection-Based Deep Belief Neural Networks and Speeded-Up Robust Feature Algorithm

    Zahraa Tarek1, Samaa M. Shohieb1,*, Abdelghafar M. Elhady2, El-Sayed M. El-kenawy3, Mahmoud Y. Shams4

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.3, pp. 3195-3213, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.034092 - 21 December 2022

Abstract The ability to detect and localize the human eye is critical for use in security applications and human identification and verification systems. This is because eye recognition algorithms have multiple challenges, such as multi-pose variations, ocular parts, and illumination. Moreover, the modern security applications fail to detect facial expressions from eye images. In this paper, a Speeded-Up Roust Feature (SURF) Algorithm was utilized to localize the face images of the enrolled subjects. We highlighted on eye and pupil parts to be detected based on SURF, Hough Circle Transform (HCT), and Local Binary Pattern (LBP). Afterward,… More >

PSO-DBNet for Peak-to-Average Power Ratio Reduction Using Deep Belief Network

    A. Jameer Basha1,*, M. Ramya Devi2, S. Lokesh1, P. Sivaranjani3, D. Mansoor Hussain4, Venkat Padhy5

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.45, No.2, pp. 1483-1493, 2023, DOI:10.32604/csse.2023.021540 - 03 November 2022

Abstract Data transmission through a wireless network has faced various signal problems in the past decades. The orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technique is widely accepted in multiple data transfer patterns at various frequency bands. A recent wireless communication network uses OFDM in long-term evolution (LTE) and 5G, among others. The main problem faced by 5G wireless OFDM is distortion of transmission signals in the network. This transmission loss is called peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). This wireless signal distortion can be reduced using various techniques. This study uses machine learning-based algorithm to solve the problem of More >

Content-Based Movie Recommendation System Using MBO with DBN

    S. Sridhar1,*, D. Dhanasekaran2, G. Charlyn Pushpa Latha3

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.35, No.3, pp. 3241-3257, 2023, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2023.030361 - 17 August 2022

Abstract The content-based filtering technique has been used effectively in a variety of Recommender Systems (RS). The user explicitly or implicitly provides data in the Content-Based Recommender System. The system collects this data and creates a profile for all the users, and the recommendation is generated by the user profile. The recommendation generated via content-based filtering is provided by observing just a single user’s profile. The primary objective of this RS is to recommend a list of movies based on the user’s preferences. A content-based movie recommendation model is proposed in this research, which recommends movies… More >

Virtual Nursing Using Deep Belief Networks for Elderly People (DBN-EP)

    S. Rajasekaran1,*, G. Kousalya2

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.42, No.3, pp. 985-1000, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.022234 - 08 February 2022

Abstract The demand for better health services has resulted in the advancement of remote monitoring health, i.e., virtual nursing systems, to watch and support the elderly with innovative concepts such as being patient-centric, easier to use, and having smarter interactions and more accurate conclusions. While virtual nursing services attempt to provide consumers and medical practitioners with continuous medical and health monitoring services, access to allied healthcare experts such as nurses remains a challenge. In this research, we present Virtual Nursing Using Deep Belief Networks for Elderly People (DBN-EP), a new framework that provides a virtual nurse… More >

DNA Sequence Analysis for Brain Disorder Using Deep Learning and Secure Storage

    Ala Saleh Alluhaidan*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.71, No.3, pp. 5949-5962, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.022028 - 14 January 2022

Abstract Analysis of brain disorder in the neuroimaging of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Computed Tomography (CT) needs to understand the functionalities of the brain and it has been performed using traditional methods. Deep learning algorithms have also been applied in genomics data processing. The brain disorder diseases of Alzheimer, Schizophrenia, and Parkinson are analyzed in this work. The main issue in the traditional algorithm is the improper detection of disorders in the neuroimaging data. This paper presents a deep learning algorithm for the classification of brain disorder using Deep Belief Network… More >
