Weighted Parameterized Correlation Coefficients of Indeterminacy Fuzzy Multisets and Their Multicriteria Group Decision Making Method with Different Decision Risks

    Cheng Du1, Jun Ye2,*

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.129, No.1, pp. 341-354, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2021.016758

    Abstract

Real-life data introduce noise, uncertainty, and imprecision to statistical projects; it is advantageous to consider strategies to overcome these information expressions and processing problems. Neutrosophic (indeterminate) numbers can flexibly and conveniently represent the hybrid information of the partial determinacy and partial indeterminacy in an indeterminate setting, while a fuzzy multiset is a vital mathematical tool in the expression and processing of multi-valued fuzzy information with different and/or same fuzzy values. If neutrosophic numbers are introduced into fuzzy sequences in a fuzzy multiset, the introduced neutrosophic number sequences can be constructed as the neutrosophic number multiset or indeterminate fuzzy multiset. Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany, Vol.91, No.1, pp. 97-114, 2022, DOI:10.32604/phyton.2022.017251

Abstract Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is called ‘the poor man’s orange’ due to its low price and improved nutritional values. An experiment was conducted to study the breeding potential of some exotic tomato lines by assessing various qualitative and quantitative traits conferring yield and quality attributes. Among the qualitative traits, greater variability was observed for growth type, stem hairiness, and fruit shape and size. A determinate growth habit was observed in the genotype AVTO9802 while the genotype AVTO0102 produced yellow color fruits. A significant (p ≤ 0.01) variation was also observed for the studied quantitative traits. Based on yield and traits… More >

    Structural Durability & Health Monitoring, Vol.15, No.1, pp. 23-37, 2021, DOI:10.32604/sdhm.2021.013737

Abstract Guided waves based damage detection methods using base signals offer the advantages of simplicity of signal generation and reception, sensitivity to damage, and large area coverage; however, applications of the technology are limited by the sensitivity to environmental temperature variations. In this paper, a Spearman Damage Index-based damage diagnosis method for structural health condition monitoring under varying temperatures is presented. First, a PZT sensor-based Guided wave propagation model is proposed and employed to analyze the temperature effect. The result of the analysis shows the wave speed of the Guided wave signal has higher temperature sensitivity than the signal fluctuation features.… More >

Abstract In this study, we developed software for vehicle big data analysis to analyze the time-series data of connected vehicles. We designed two software modules: The first to derive the Pearson correlation coefficients to analyze the collected data and the second to conduct exploratory data analysis of the collected vehicle data. In particular, we analyzed the dangerous driving patterns of motorists based on the safety standards of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. We also analyzed seasonal fuel efficiency (four seasons) and mileage of vehicles, and identified rapid acceleration, rapid deceleration, sudden stopping (harsh braking), quick starting, sudden left turn, sudden right… More >

    Jie Yang1,2, Changping Chen1,2,*, Ao Ma1

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.125, No.3, pp. 1159-1171, 2020, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2020.09640

Abstract System reliability sensitivity analysis becomes difficult due to involving the issues of the correlation between failure modes whether using analytic method or numerical simulation methods. A fast conditional reduction method based on conditional probability theory is proposed to solve the sensitivity analysis based on the approximate analytic method. The relevant concepts are introduced to characterize the correlation between failure modes by the reliability index and correlation coefficient, and conditional normal fractile the for the multi-dimensional conditional failure analysis is proposed based on the two-dimensional normal distribution function. Thus the calculation of system failure probability can be represented as a summation… More >

Abstract Handwritten numeral recognition is one of the most popular fields of research in automation because it is used in many applications. Indeed, automation has continually received substantial attention from researchers. Therefore, great efforts have been made to devise accurate recognition methods with high recognition ratios. In this paper, we propose a method for integrating the correlation coefficient with a Self-Organizing Maps (SOM)-based technique to recognize offline handwritten Arabic decimal digits. The simulation results show very high recognition rates compared with the rates achieved by other existing methods. More >

Yani Hou, Wenzhong Zhu, Erli Wang

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.25, No.4, pp. 805-814, 2019, DOI:10.31209/2019.100000084

Abstract Hyperspectral remote sensing, with its narrow band imaging, provides the potential for fine identification of ground objects, and has unique advantages in mineral detection. However, the image is nonlinear and the pure pixel is scarce, so using standard spectrum detection will lead to an increase of the number of false alarm and missed detection. The density peak algorithm performs well in high-dimensional space and data clustering with irregular category shape. This paper used the density peak clustering to determine the cluster centers of various categories of images, and took it as the target spectrum, and took the clustering results as… More >

A Correlation Coefficient Approach for Evaluation of Stiffness Degradation of Beams Under Moving Load

    Thanh Q. Nguyen1,2, Thao T. D. Nguyen3, H. Nguyen-Xuan4,5,*, Nhi K. Ngo1,2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.1, pp. 27-53, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.07756

Abstract This paper presents a new approach using correlation and cross-correlation coefficients to evaluate the stiffness degradation of beams under moving load. The theoretical study of identifying defects by vibration methods showed that the traditional methods derived from the vibration measurement data have not met the needs of the actual issues. We show that the correlation coefficients allow us to evaluate the degree and the effectiveness of the defects on beams. At the same time, the cross-correlation model is the basis for determining the relative position of defects. The results of this study are experimentally conducted to confirm the relationship between… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.60, No.2, pp. 599-613, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.05928

Abstract Cloud-derived wind refers to the wind field data product reversely derived through satellite remote sensing cloud images. Satellite cloud-derived wind inversion has the characteristics of large scale, computationally intensive and long time. The most widely used cloud-derived serial--tracer cloud tracking method is the maximum cross-correlation coefficient (MCC) method. In order to overcome the efficiency bottleneck of the cloud-derived serial MCC algorithm, we proposed a parallel cloud-derived wind inversion algorithm based on GPU framework in this paper, according to the characteristics of independence between each wind vector calculation. In this algorithm, each iteration is considered as a thread of GPU cores,… More >
