Image Fusion Using Wavelet Transformation and XGboost Algorithm

    Shahid Naseem1, Tariq Mahmood2,3, Amjad Rehman Khan2, Umer Farooq1, Samra Nawazish4, Faten S. Alamri5,*, Tanzila Saba2

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.79, No.1, pp. 801-817, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2024.047623 - 25 April 2024

Abstract Recently, there have been several uses for digital image processing. Image fusion has become a prominent application in the domain of imaging processing. To create one final image that proves more informative and helpful compared to the original input images, image fusion merges two or more initial images of the same item. Image fusion aims to produce, enhance, and transform significant elements of the source images into combined images for the sake of human visual perception. Image fusion is commonly employed for feature extraction in smart robots, clinical imaging, audiovisual camera integration, manufacturing process monitoring,… More >

Segmentation of Cervical Cancer by OLHT Based DT-CWT Techniques

    P. R. Sheebha Rani1,*, R. Jemila Rose2

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.3, pp. 1579-1592, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.023587 - 24 March 2022

Abstract Every year, cervical cancer (CC) is the leading cause of death in women around the world. If detected early enough, this cancer can be treated, and patients will receive adequate care. This study introduces a novel ultrasound-based method for detecting CC. The Oriented Local Histogram Technique (OLHT) is used to improve the image corners in the cervical image (CI), and the Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DT-CWT) is used to build a multi-resolution image (CI). Wavelet, and Local Binary Pattern are among the elements retrieved from this improved multi-resolution CI (LBP). The retrieved appearance is trained More >

    Ahmed M. Ayoup1,*, Ashraf A. M. Khalaf1, Fahad Alraddady2, Fathi E. Abd El-Samie3, Walid El-Shafai3,5, Salwa M. Serag Eldin2,4

    Intelligent Automation & Soft Computing, Vol.33, No.2, pp. 1289-1304, 2022, DOI:10.32604/iasc.2022.024381 - 08 February 2022

Abstract In this article, we introduce a new cancelable biometric template generation layout depending on selective encryption technology and Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DT-CWT) fusion. The input face biometric is entered into the automatic face-segmentation (Viola-Jones) algorithm to detect the object in a short time. Viola-Jones algorithm can detect the left eye, right eye, nose, and mouth of the input biometric image. The encoder can choose the left or right eye to generate a cancelable biometric template. The selected eye image of size M × N is XORed with the created pseudo-random number (PRN) matrix CM × N to… More >

Integrated CWT-CNN for Epilepsy Detection Using Multiclass EEG Dataset

    Sidra Naseem1, Kashif Javed1, Muhammad Jawad Khan1, Saddaf Rubab2, Muhammad Attique Khan3, Yunyoung Nam4,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.69, No.1, pp. 471-486, 2021, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2021.018239 - 04 June 2021

Abstract Electroencephalography is a common clinical procedure to record brain signals generated by human activity. EEGs are useful in Brain controlled interfaces and other intelligent Neuroscience applications, but manual analysis of these brainwaves is complicated and time-consuming even for the experts of neuroscience. Various EEG analysis and classification techniques have been proposed to address this problem however, the conventional classification methods require identification and learning of specific EEG characteristics beforehand. Deep learning models can learn features from data without having in depth knowledge of data and prior feature identification. One of the great implementations of deep… More >

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.61, No.2, pp. 889-910, 2019, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2019.06034

Abstract In order to solve the problem of patient information security protection in medical images, whilst also taking into consideration the unchangeable particularity of medical images to the lesion area and the need for medical images themselves to be protected, a novel robust watermarking algorithm for encrypted medical images based on dual-tree complex wavelet transform and discrete cosine transform (DTCWT-DCT) and chaotic map is proposed in this paper. First, DTCWT-DCT transformation was performed on medical images, and dot product was per-formed in relation to the transformation matrix and logistic map. Inverse transformation was undertaken to obtain… More >
