Case Retrieval Strategy of Turning Process Based on Grey Relational Analysis

    Jianfeng Zhao1,2, Yunliang Huo1,2, Ji Xiong1,*, Junbo Liu1,2, Zhixing Guo1, Qingxian Li3

    CMES-Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences, Vol.138, No.2, pp. 1663-1678, 2024, DOI:10.32604/cmes.2023.030584

Abstract To solve the problem of long response time when users obtain suitable cutting parameters through the Internet based platform, a case-based reasoning framework is proposed. Specifically, a Hamming distance and Euclidean distance combined method is designed to measure the similarity of case features which have both numeric and category properties. In addition, AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) and entropy weight method are integrated to provide features weight, where both user preferences and comprehensive impact of the index have been concerned. Grey relation analysis is used to obtain the similarity of a new problem and alternative cases.… More >

A Prototype for Diagnosis of Psoriasis in Traditional Chinese Medicine

    Hai Long1, Zhe Wang1, Yidi Cui2,3, Junhui Wang4, Bo Gao5, Chao Chen5, Yan Zhu5,*, Heinrich Herre1

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.73, No.3, pp. 5197-5217, 2022, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2022.029365

Abstract Psoriasis is a chronic, non-communicable, painful, disfiguring and disabling disease for which there is no cure, with great negative impact on patients’ quality of life (QoL). Diagnosis and treatment with traditional Chinese medical technique based on syndrome differentiation has been used in practice for a long time and proven effective, though, up to now, there are only a few available studies about the use of semantic technologies and the knowledge systems that use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)-syndrome differentiation for information retrieval and automated reasoning. In this paper we use semantic techniques based on ontologies to… More >

QL-CBR Hybrid Approach for Adapting Context-Aware Services

    Somia Belaidouni1,2, Moeiz Miraoui3,4,*, Chakib Tadj1

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.43, No.3, pp. 1085-1098, 2022, DOI:10.32604/csse.2022.024056

Abstract A context-aware service in a smart environment aims to supply services according to user situational information, which changes dynamically. Most existing context-aware systems provide context-aware services based on supervised algorithms. Reinforcement algorithms are another type of machine-learning algorithm that have been shown to be useful in dynamic environments through trial-and-error interactions. They also have the ability to build excellent self-adaptive systems. In this study, we aim to incorporate reinforcement algorithms (Q-learning) into a context-aware system to provide relevant services based on a user’s dynamic context. To accelerate the convergence of reinforcement learning (RL) algorithms and More >
