Optimal Bidding Strategies of Microgrid with Demand Side Management for Economic Emission Dispatch Incorporating Uncertainty and Outage of Renewable Energy Sources

    Mousumi Basu1, Chitralekha Jena2, Baseem Khan3,4,*, Ahmed Ali4

    Energy Engineering, Vol.121, No.4, pp. 849-867, 2024, DOI:10.32604/ee.2024.043294 - 26 March 2024

Abstract In the restructured electricity market, microgrid (MG), with the incorporation of smart grid technologies, distributed energy resources (DERs), a pumped-storage-hydraulic (PSH) unit, and a demand response program (DRP), is a smarter and more reliable electricity provider. DER consists of gas turbines and renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic systems and wind turbines. Better bidding strategies, prepared by MG operators, decrease the electricity cost and emissions from upstream grid and conventional and renewable energy sources (RES). But it is inefficient due to the very high sporadic characteristics of RES and the very high outage rate. To More >

A Dynamic Multi-Attribute Resource Bidding Mechanism with Privacy Protection in Edge Computing

    Shujuan Tian1,2,3, Wenjian Ding1,2,3, Gang Liu4, Yuxia Sun5, Saiqin Long5, Jiang Zhu1,2,3,*

    CMC-Computers, Materials & Continua, Vol.75, No.1, pp. 373-391, 2023, DOI:10.32604/cmc.2023.034770 - 06 February 2023

Abstract In edge computing, a reasonable edge resource bidding mechanism can enable edge providers and users to obtain benefits in a relatively fair fashion. To maximize such benefits, this paper proposes a dynamic multi-attribute resource bidding mechanism (DMRBM). Most of the previous work mainly relies on a third-party agent to exchange information to gain optimal benefits. It is worth noting that when edge providers and users trade with third-party agents which are not entirely reliable and trustworthy, their sensitive information is prone to be leaked. Moreover, the privacy protection of edge providers and users must be… More >

Effects of Hydrogen Storage System and Renewable Energy Sources for Optimal Bidding Strategy in Electricity Market

    Can Li*, Xiaode Zuo

    Energy Engineering, Vol.119, No.5, pp. 1879-1903, 2022, DOI:10.32604/ee.2022.020472 - 21 July 2022

Abstract This work suggested a novel model for obtaining optimum bidding/offering strategy to improve the benefits in case of big users. Aiming this regard, several electrical energy resources including: micro turbines, green power sources (wind turbine and photovoltaic system), power storage unit such as Hydrogen storage system with fuel cell, as well as mutual treaties are taken into account in offered model. Considering various models for uncertain parameters based on their natures such as power demand, electricity market tariffs, solar irradiation, temperature and wind speed is one of the contributions of the proposed model. Uncertainty of… More >

Pattern Recognition of Construction Bidding System Based on Image Processing

    Xianzhe Zhang1,3,∗, Sheng Zhou2,†, Jun Fang1,‡, Yanling Ni3,§

    Computer Systems Science and Engineering, Vol.35, No.4, pp. 247-256, 2020, DOI:10.32604/csse.2020.35.247

Abstract Bidding for construction projects is a very important and representative field in the industry. The system of bidding for construction projects has made considerable progress over the years due to the accumulation of experience and many contributions to the field. Nowadays, with the rapid development of information technology and the intellectualization of the bidding system for construction projects, the accumulation and processing of data has become an essential element of its development. In order to manage the bidding system of construction engineering reasonably, this paper proposes a system based on image processing and pattern recognition… More >
