    Properties of ABS/Organic-Attapulgite Nanocomposites Parts Fabricated by Fused Deposition Modeling

    Abstract The paper discusses the mechanical and thermal performance manifested in natural nanorods attapulgite (ATP) reinforced Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) nanocomposites in the process of fused deposition modeling (FDM). Molten extrusion technique was taken to manufacture the filaments of ABS/organic-attapulgite (OAT) nanocomposites with different mass fraction and the printing operation was made by one commercial FDM three-dimensional (3D) printer.     Abstract This is a newborn male prenatally diagnosed with severe right ventricular (RV) hypertrophy and depressed function, aneurysmal dilation of the main pulmonary artery and tachyarrhythmia. Postnatally, he required immediate intubation and inotropic support. Echocardiogram revealed a large dysplastic RV, absent pulmonary valve syndrome (APVS), markedly dilated pulmonary arteries and tricuspid atresia (TA). The trabecular portion of the RV was excessively trabeculated and severely dilated. Inflow and infundibular walls were thin, with multiple infundibular aneurysms.     Abstract Decision trees are among the best-known decision-making techniques and have been used extensively for both data analysis and predictive modeling. BPM+ is a novel process modeling approach that helps represent business process models in a consistent and structured way to meet different stakeholders’ process representation needs. This paper reports on the outcomes of an ontological analysis of the potential use of decision-tree representations as a new BPM+ perspective for the operational level of abstraction.     Abstract Novel mycelium-based biocomposites (MBB) were obtained from local agricultural (hemp shives) and forestry (wood chips) by-products which were bounded together with natural growth of fungal mycelium. As a result, hemp mycocomposites (HMC) and wood mycocomposites (WMC) were manufactured. Mechanical, water absorption and biodegradation properties of MBB were investigated. Herein, PVA-MFC foam was prepared by freeze-drying using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) as a reinforced material from sugarcane bagasse (SCB).     Abstract In order to study the effect of recycled plastic particles on the physical and mechanical properties of concrete, recycled plastic concrete with 0, 3%, 5% and 7% content (by weight) was designed. The compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and the change of mass caused by water absorption during curing were measured. The results show that the strength of concrete is increased by adding recycled plastic into concrete.
