Summary

The beauty and personal care industry are increasingly turning towards natural and sustainable ingredients to meet consumer demand for safer and eco-friendly products. Plant secondary metabolites and volatile compounds, with their diverse biological activities, hold immense potential for cosmetic applications. This special issue aims to explore the latest research, developments, and applications of these natural compounds in the cosmetic industry.

 

Proposed key themes and topics (but not limited to)

· Anti-Aging Properties

· Skin Whitening and Brightening Agents

· Anti-Inflammatory and Soothing Effects

· Cutaneous wound healing

· UV Protection and Sunscreen Formulations

· Antioxidant Properties for Skin Health

· Antimicrobial and Antifungal Activities

· Fragrance and Aromatherapy

· Moisturizing and Hydration

· Innovative Extraction Techniques

· Innovative Formulations and Delivery Systems

 

We invite original research and review articles that address any of the aforementioned themes that provide new insights into the cosmetic applications of plant secondary metabolites and volatile compounds. Manuscripts should address one or more of the key topics listed above and provide substantial contributions to the field.
