Tech Science Press is delighted to announce that Prof. Kun Zhou from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, will assume the position of Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences (CMES) starting from 01 August, 2023. With this appointment, Prof. Kun Zhou will join Prof. Shaofan Li and Prof. Loc Vu-Quoc as Co-Editors-in-Chief, forming a distinguished team.
Prof. Kun Zhou is a highly accomplished scholar and currently serves as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. He obtained his B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Tsinghua University, China, and his Ph.D. from Nanyang Technological University. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Northwestern University, USA, and a visiting scholar at Harvard University, USA.
Prof. Kun Zhou's research interests are additive manufacturing, mechanics of materials, computer mechanics, computational materials science. His contributions in these fields have garnered him widespread recognition and accolades. Notably, he has been elected as a Fellow of several prestigious institutions, including the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Royal Aeronautical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, Institute of Physics, and Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining.
Prof. Kun Zhou's appointment marks an exciting new chapter for CMES. His extensive knowledge, profound expertise, and his dedication to advancing engineering sciences will undoubtedly contribute to the journal's growth and impact.
