Professor Charles Ling named Editor-in-Chief of Computers, Materials & Continua.

Dr. Charles Ling, a tenured full professor in the Department of Computer Science, and Science Distinguished Research Professor, at University of Western Ontario in Canada, has been named Editor-in-Chief of Computers, Materials & Continua, a peer-reviewed SCI journal published by Tech Science Press.

Dr. Charles Ling begins serving in this position in April 2018. He will bring new ideas for the journal CMC enhancements.

Dr. Charles Ling is a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Engineering. He obtained his MSc and PhD from University of Pennsylvania. He is a world-leading researcher in machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, data analytics and applications. He has published over 160 research papers, many in top-tier journals and international conferences, with over 6,500 citations by Google Scholars. Dr. Ling has received numerous awards for his groundbreaking research.

A consistently funded researcher, Dr. Charles Ling is Founder and CEO of GoHealthNow, which creates a platform for diabetes care using data analytics and AI. In China, he is an Expert in the “Thousand Talents Program”, and holds adjunct positions in several universities and institutes, including the Dean of the AI Research Institute of Soochow University. He serves as the Associate Editor of multiple journals such as IEEE TKDE, ACM TIST.
