Summary

The increasing popularity of hybrid electric vehicles, portable electronics and wearable smart systems has drastically increased the demand for safe and high-performance energy storage systems. Polymeric materials have received significant attention due to their potential applications in various areas of energy storage. A polymeric energy system is potentially flexible, lightweight, moldable, and multifunctional. In this special issue, we aim to bring together articles focused on the recent advancements in polymeric materials for advanced applications in various energy systems. These include the synthesis, structures, and properties of polymers-based materials with a view to their application in energy systems like batteries, supercapacitors, sensors, solar cells and actuators.


Topics of interest include but are not limited to

· Theoretical/ Modelling/ Computer Simulation of Polymer Systems
