Summary

The Internet of Things (IoT) allows for intense smart control through machine-to-machine communication between devices. The impact of IoT technology can be felt across a broad range of modern applications and environments. Sensors and cloud computing technology have enabled connected IoT devices to form essential components of smart environments, such as networked smart homes, offices, or cities, with minimal human interaction required.

This Special Collection aims to highlight state-of-the-art investigations using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning methodologies in the context of IoT devices, smart control, and monitoring. Topics relevant to this collection also include security, routing, and communication challenges in the smart environments using IoT and Deep Learning techniques along with security concerns over cyber security domain.

Abstract Farming has been the most prominent and fundamental activity for generations. As the population has been multiplying exponentially, the demand for agricultural yield is growing relentlessly. Such high demand in production through traditional farming methodologies often falls short in terms of efficiency due to the limitations of manual labour. In the era of digitization, smart agricultural solutions have been emerging through the windows of Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence to improve resource management, optimize the process of farming and enhance the yield of crops, hence, ensuring sustainable growth of the increasing production. By implementing… More >
