Study on System Dynamics of Long and Heavy-Haul Train

Weihua Zhang1, Guangrong Tian, Maoru ChiThe long, heavy-haul train transportation has already been recognized asthe direction of railway freight devel formation, haul-ing weight, the problems of safety in transportation have become prominent, suchas destructive effect on railway line, braking failure, coupler failure, derailment,, so on, which become the bottleneck of heavy-haul train freight transportationhealthy development. Accordingly, it is necessary to have an overall thorough re-search on the system dynamics of long, big train. Currently, most of the studieshave focused on the longitudinal dynamics, but only a little study on the lateral, vertical dynamics. The main reason for it is that there are some difficulties inmodeling of the long, big train. It can be described as follows:
