Artificial Neural Network models are used to predict the vertical wind speed based on measurements at lower heights. Excellent correlation coefficients are obtained between the predicted and measured wind speed values as indicated in the scatter plot here with R2 value of 96.88%. Another indicator of the model prediction capability of the model is verified with the trend following nature of the predicted values with measured ones. Last but not the least, the vertical profile of predicted wind speed values with measured data further verified the performance of the proposed models.
