Summary
In recent industrial systems, conventional grid systems demand for network efficiency, maintenance of resources, optimal performance, energy savings, cost minimization and other requirements. However, no potential dynamical model is still available to be tractable for grid systems efficiency. Therefore, the special issue "Smart Grids" focuses on the innovations, challenges, and technological advances driving the transformation of traditional electrical grids into smart grids. These smart-grid systems integrate advanced technologies such as renewable energy sources, energy storage systems, distributed energy resources, electric vehicles, internet of things, machine learning and other innovative developments to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Topics of interest of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to:
· Renewable energy integration
· Distributed energy system
· Optimizing grid performance
· Energy consumption
· Grid resilience
· IoT application in smart grid
· Real-time monitoring and control procedures
· Forecasting techniques for smart grid demand
· Generative AI for grid applications
· Cybersecurity on smart grids
· Protection of smart grid infrastructures
