Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (TAI) is lawful, ethically adherent, and technically robust. It is based on the idea that AI will reach its full potential when trust can be established in each stage of its lifecycle, from design to development, deployment and use. A smart city uses TAI technologies to enhance the quality and performance of public services to improve citizens' lives. An intelligent city cares for its citizens and makes their life convenient so that they are peaceful and contented and may concentrate on finding the deeper purpose of life in their spare time. Right now, Smart Cities are one of the significant issues concerning the urban systems of most governments around the globe, particularly in developed nations. From a technology perspective, the smart city model considers a city as a complex framework of residents, assets, and administrations. Smart cities can be designed with intelligent energy management schemes on different levels starting from the home and ending in every branch in the city, including transportation, schools, hospital, factories, streets, etc. TAI automatically collects the model from different locations and builds the global model, deployment and governance to drive trust across the AI lifecycle. TAI is the most significant innovation for the smart city, which has immense potential to improve the quality of life and applies to almost every element of peoples' lives, including healthcare, public services, education, electronics, banking, etc. Today, TAI and increasingly complicated algorithms influence our lives and civilization more than ever. TAI systems can decrease resource usage by carefully monitoring and regulating information on society's pertinent energy needs.
TAI provides fair, explainable, transparent and robust services to smart city applications. Using trustworthy artificial intelligence in smart city planning and developing strategies is increasingly important. The constant monitoring of models for multiple Trustworthiness indicators, including accuracy, fairness, quality, and explainability, should be automated and integrated into an open platform's operating regulations and compliance processes. Configurable workflows are needed to automate compliance activities, and operational policies will differ across the enterprise depending on business segment requirements. TAI will play an increasingly important role in the development of sustainable cities. With the help of AI, compiled data about people's and vehicles' movement patterns can create communities that consume less energy and a safer and more efficient transport network.
