Blockchain-based healthcare systems are gaining more importance due to decentralization and distributed ledger. Patient health records (PHR) are gaining more importance due to their value and sensitivity. According to the breach level index every day millions of records are stolen world widely. There exist many issues related to security in centralized and traditional healthcare system, because most of them rely on centralized authority. In order to avoid central authority, blockchain is the most appropriate technology which provides distributed access and immutable records. It is also observed by the researchers that blockchain can provide resistance to collusion and phishing attacks which are mostly related to electronic health records (EHR).
Deep Learning (DL) is the most prominent and effective technique of artificial intelligence which is more effective in user classification in blockchain-based healthcare systems. Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides users with behavior tracking and monitoring in an effective way. Smart contracts-based AI and DL techniques can provide more sophisticated and provide resource allocation in P2P networks.
Our special issue looks forward to novel technologies using artificial intelligence and machine learning-based blockchain technology for healthcare systems. The special issue covering new research findings in blockchain technology using artificial intelligence and machine learning. The potential topics are not limited to methodologies and challenges of AI-based blockchain technology using healthcare systems. We welcome originally high-quality research and review articles.
