The exponential growth in connected and autonomous vehicles, along with advancements in enabling technologies, has brought forth significant transformations in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). This growth is largely due to the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), which has significantly increased the number of connected vehicles. With the increasing number of autonomous vehicles and data-intensive applications, such as ultralow latency, high reliability, and stringent security requirements, the shift toward 6G networks has become inevitable for future ITS. The 6G network will transform the IoV by providing smooth, reliable, and large-scale connections for millions of vehicles. However, this shift brings forth significant security and network architecture challenges that need to be addressed to ensure safe, efficient, and secure operations.
The objective of this Special Issue is to provide a platform for researchers to explore innovative technologies, advanced network architectures, and the critical security challenges in enabling a 6G-supported autonomous IoV. The focus will be on understanding the complexities of network vulnerabilities, AI-driven traffic management, and dynamic decision-making frameworks that are essential to 6G networks. This issue seeks contributions that explore novel security and network architectures, resource management, dynamic traffic management, AI-enabled intrusion detection, etc. By addressing these areas, this Special Issue will provide a platform for a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and potential solutions in designing secure and scalable network architectures for 6G-enabled autonomous IoV systems. The topic of interest will include, but not limited to:
· Novel Security Solutions for 6G-Enabled Autonomous IoV
· Advanced Network Architectures for the Autonomous IoV
· Challenges and Opportunities in Securing 6G-Enabled Autonomous IoV
· AI-Driven Security and Network Optimization for Autonomous IoV
· Blockchain and Edge Computing based Solutions for Secure 6G enabled IoV Networks
· Novel Security protocols for 6G-Enabled Autonomous IoV
· Novel and optimized Routing protocols for 6G-Enabled Autonomous IoV
