The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized various industries, including healthcare, smart cities, industrial automation, and agriculture. However, as IoT networks grow, protecting the integrity of connected devices and safeguarding sensitive data become critical concerns. The vulnerabilities of IoT devices expose them to a wide range of threats, from cyberattacks to data breaches, which can have serious consequences for individuals, organizations, and even entire nations. This special issue seeks to explore the latest advancements in IoT security, including new technologies, vulnerability analysis, secure communication protocols, frameworks, lightweight cryptographic techniques, privacy-preserving mechanisms, and methodologies to mitigate emerging security risks.
In addition, this special issue provides an overview of the current IoT security landscape and future research directions. The contributions will cover both theoretical developments and practical applications, promoting discussions on new threats and defense strategies. We welcome high-quality, original research papers, reviews, and case studies on, but not limited to, the following topics:
