Summary
Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs) are a diverse class of RNA molecules that play crucial regulatory roles in various cellular processes. Their involvement in transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulation, epigenetic modifications, and chromatin remodeling has profound implications for human health and disease. This special issue aims to explore the multifaceted roles of ncRNAs, particularly circular RNAs (circRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), in the pathogenesis of human diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
1. Functional Characterization of ncRNAs: Investigating the regulatory roles of circRNAs and lncRNAs in cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis.
2. ncRNAs in Disease Pathogenesis: Examining the aberrant expression and dysregulation of ncRNAs in various diseases and their potential as diagnostic or prognostic markers.
3. Therapeutic Targeting of ncRNAs: Discussing the potential of ncRNAs as therapeutic targets for the development of novel treatment strategies for human diseases.
4. ncRNAs and Epigenetic Regulation: Exploring the role of ncRNAs in epigenetic modifications and chromatin remodeling, and their impact on gene expression and disease development.
This special issue will provide a platform for researchers and clinicians to share their latest findings and insights into the complex roles of ncRNAs in human diseases. We invite original research articles, reviews, and perspectives that contribute to advancing our understanding of ncRNA biology and its implications for disease pathology and therapy.
