Summary

Natural compounds play a significant role in modulating various cellular pathways, including those involved in cancer, inflammation, and melanogenesis. Understanding the pharmacological mechanisms of these compounds at the cellular and molecular levels can provide valuable insights into their potential therapeutic applications. This special issue aims to explore the intricate molecular mechanisms through which natural compounds exert their effects on cell signaling pathways, focusing on their roles in cancer therapy, anti-inflammation, and melanogenesis modulation.

We invite submissions that offer novel insights into the mechanisms of action of anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and melanogenesis-modulating phytochemicals. Studies that elucidate the role of natural compounds in regulating transcription factors like STAT3, inducing apoptosis, and affecting melanoma are particularly encouraged.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

1. Mechanisms of Anticancer Phytochemicals:

Detailed studies on how natural compounds inhibit cancer cell proliferation, migration, and invasion.

Exploration of signaling pathways targeted by anticancer phytochemicals.

2. Anti-Inflammatory Natural Compounds:

Investigations into the cellular signaling pathways modulated by anti-inflammatory phytochemicals.

Impact of these compounds on immune cells and inflammatory mediators.

3. Melanogenesis Modulation by Natural Compounds:

Mechanistic studies on how natural compounds influence melanogenesis.

Potential therapeutic and cosmetic applications of melanogenesis-modulating phytochemicals.

4. Role of STAT3 Transcription Factor:

Insights into how natural compounds regulate STAT3 and its downstream effects.

STAT3’s involvement in cancer, inflammation, and other cellular processes.

5. Natural Compounds and Apoptosis:

Mechanisms by which natural compounds induce apoptosis in various cell types.

The role of apoptosis in the therapeutic effects of natural compounds against cancer.
