Summary

This issue focuses on endothelial progenitor cells, very special "primary cells" that have been already directed to become endothelial cells. Manuscripts addressing issues of stem cells biology, endothelial cells and vascular biology regeneration in health and in disease states (including coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, and vascular involvement in cancer biology) related with endothelial progenitor cells plasticity, potency, and their role in vascular homeostasis will be welcomed.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Stem/progenitor cells in tissue engineering

- Regenerative medicine

- Regenerative pharmacology

- Cell therapy

- Cellular and molecular mechanisms of action

- Basic science and clinical science
