In oncology, numerous studies have been conducted in the last decades to provide complementary and holistic approaches to support cancer patients better manage their physical and emotional symptoms, improve their quality of life, and optimize their treatments. These protocols have evaluated both the effects on patients and the training offered to professionals so that they can utilize specific hypnosis techniques.
The objective of this issue is to highlight the work conducted in medical hypnosis within the field of psycho-oncology.
We welcome theoretical and empirical papers in social science research including psychology, education, social work, and public health. These articles should highlight the contribution of medical hypnosis to the psychological support offered to patients, their families, or healthcare professionals. We especially seek articles that employ novel, innovative, and creative methodological approaches.
