Summary

Cancer survivors often face long-term physical and psychological challenges that extend beyond the immediate treatment phase. The psychological impact of cancer and its treatment can significantly affect a patient's quality of life, including issues such as anxiety, depression, fear of recurrence, and coping with the changes in body image and function. In recent years, there has been increasing recognition of the importance of integrating psychological interventions into cancer rehabilitation programs to address these challenges. These interventions can play a critical role in helping patients manage their mental health, improve their adherence to treatment regimens, and enhance their overall well-being during and after cancer treatment.

This Special Issue on psychological interventions in cancer rehabilitation aims to explore the current landscape of psychological care in cancer rehabilitation, focusing on the effectiveness of various intervention strategies, the role of interdisciplinary approaches, and the integration of these interventions into standard care practices. We seek to highlight evidence-based practices, innovative treatment modalities, and the unique psychological needs of diverse patient populations, including those with different types and stages of cancer.

We invite a range of article types for submission to this Special Issue, including conceptual and empirical research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and critical commentaries. Manuscripts from various disciplines are welcome, provided they address issues related to the psychological aspects of cancer rehabilitation.
