RÉSUMÉ

L’interdisciplinarité est l’objet d’une forte promotion institutionnelle et d’une abondante publication scientifique tant sur son histoire, sa définition, ses typologies, que sur ses freins et défis. Il s’agit de proposer ici un retour d’expérience sur l’élaboration d’une question de recherche dans un travail interdisciplinaire. Nous présenterons le parcours qui a conduit d’une question de gestion administrative à un doctorat en philosophie de la médecine sur les soins de support grâce à une collaboration riche entre une grande diversité d’acteurs académiques, hospitaliers et associatifs. Une analyse de la littérature permettra de montrer comment la longue histoire des sciences sous-tend les enjeux disciplinaires lors de l’élaboration d’une question de recherche. La méthode rendra visible le temps long du dialogue entre les partenaires de ce projet. Les résultats présenteront l’évolution de la question de recherche au cours du projet. Enfin la discussion proposera trois concepts pour mettre en perspective l’interdisciplinarité : la collaboration, l’attention et l’intranquillité.

Abstract

Interdisciplinarity is strongly promoted by institutions and is the subject of abundant scientific publications on its history, definition, and typologies, as well as on its obstacles and challenges. This article aims to provide insight into the development of an interdisciplinary research question. We will present the path that led from an administrative management question to a doctorate in philosophy of medicine on supportive care, thanks to a rich collaboration between a wide range of academic, hospital, and association players. An analysis of the literature will show how the long history of science underpins disciplinary issues in the development of a research question. The method will make visible the long dialogue between the partners in this project. The results will show how the research question evolved throughout the project. Finally, the discussion will propose three concepts to put interdisciplinarity into perspective: collaboration, attention, and tranquility.
