Summary
The Special Issue "Mental Health Promotion and Psychosocial Support in Vulnerable Populations: Challenges, Strategies and Interventions'' will address the urgent need to tackle mental health disparities among vulnerable groups. These populations, including minorities, low-income individuals, refugees, LGTBIQ+ people and those with chronic health conditions, will be disproportionately affected by mental health issues due to socio-economic, environmental, and systemic barriers. Understanding and addressing these challenges will be crucial for enhancing societal well-being and equity.
The primary aim will be to gather research that offers innovative solutions and insights into the mental health challenges faced by vulnerable populations. It will highlight both theoretical frameworks and practical interventions that promote mental well-being and provide effective psychosocial support. The scope will encompass interdisciplinary studies focusing on problem identification and intervention development.
The Guest Editors encourage contributions addressing the following themes:
1. Specific mental health challenges in vulnerable populations.
2. Innovative mental health promotion strategies.
