CMES 2023 Young Researcher Award Honors Two Outstanding Scholars
We are delighted to announce the recipients of the CMES 2023 Young Researcher Award:
Dr. Jingfa Li, Yangtze University, China
Dr. Sonali Shrikant Patil, Marathwada Mitra Mandal Institute of Technology Pune, India.
Jingfa Li(Yangtze University, China)
Jingfa Li is currently a Professor at the School of Petroleum Engineering at Yangtze University, China. He obtained his Ph.D.from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) in 2017. He was a visiting scholar at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia (2017–2019). He worked at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology as an assistant and later associate research fellow (2017–2025). His research interest primarily focuses on hydrogen storage and transportation technology, and high-efficient numerical methods for heat transfer and fluid flow in petroleum engineering. He has published over 60 SCI-indexed papers and has received several awards, including the Best Paper Award at the 18th International Conference on Computational Science and the Outstanding Young Researcher Award at the 30th International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences.
Sonali Shrikant Patil (Marathwada Mitra Mandal Institute of Technology Pune, India)
Sonali Shrikant Patil is working as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department at Marathwada Mitra Mandal Institute of Technology Pune. She received her Ph.D. from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India. She has published 11 papers. Her main research area includes tool condition monitoring, AI/ML, deep learning, and complaint mechanism.
This award celebrates their exceptional contributions to advancing engineering sciences.
