Advances in Computational Mechanics

In the past 4 decades, computational mechanics has made spectacular advances and it continues to be a vibrant discipline of research.
   
While most of this research is documented in a large number of archival papers published in numerous journals, it is the time to publish critical summaries of the advances made in each decade or so, in various sub-areas of computational mechanics. This would serve as a quick reference to researchers and students in computational mechanics.

Advances in Computational Mechanics will be published in 4 volumes per year, with only 2 volumes appearing in the inaugural year, 2008. Each volume will be hard-bound, and will consist of 2-3 very lengthy (200 pages long) summary articles on chosen topics in computational mechanics, by carefully invited prominent researchers.

This journal accepts the invited manuscripts only.
